Yep. That's very assuaging. Just about the only takeover that could have happened that gives us a chance of finding a solution. You just cant get vexxed.

Proudly announced "30,000 sold. A cracking effort for a short notice" The excucses man, they come out with excuses I'd never have dreamt up and have never heard before. Its the same short notice everyone has had for every replay since 1991 which itself is a weeks less notice than the previous 100years.

Take the Chelsea and Man City takeover out and we've Arsenal and Man United carving up 95% of the league for the last 30years. There's a virtue at least in preventing that. Could even argue Liverpool and Leicester would never have got a look in had Chelsea and Man City not broken up Man United and Arsenal's stranglehold

What of the other teams in the City Group? The must ultimately have either benefited from or faciliated this

Had the same thought yesterday myself having felt colder about Atsu than the others, but I suppose its someone we know so only natural. That there's news on Atsu being found also offers encouragement many others will be.
-
I argued that case a few times. At least twice when 7th-10th at the halfway point we all but took the second half of the season off. Only jerking into life when it nearly caught us out with a relegation. One year we played Burnley twice before halfway but their relegation competitors got to play a not arsed team and club in the second half which was played effectively without even having a manager. Complacency might be argued but this was desired by the then regime.

Mandatory cheating is probably the fairest way. None of the underhandedness and favoured clubs. Plus we'd be king dick.

Didn't Marseilles get stripped of the Champions League win in 93 for bribing referees/other teams in the build up to it? Think their name on the opening credits of the shows was left off the following season but before long it was just treat like they won it as clean as anyone else. Their owner Bernard Tapie living up to his name

WonderMillwall Stoke Away (Slide Away) / Rotherham Away (Round Are Way) go great "Rotherham away the birds are singing" "Stoke away, give me all you got"
-
City been caught out by rules brought in specifically to catch them out, errrrr I mean to protect smaller clubs that are part of their communities. Now it not the same as bribing a referee but because of these new rules it amounts to cheating and its seasons of it not just one game, not so much ethically but by these rules they've invented it amounts to much the same thing. Cant see anything being off the table as far as punishment goes that being the case.

Any consideration for strict FFP rules meaning they too can only spend what they make and as a loss making operation propped up by Drumville then Short and now with the hope of KLD they'll be kept at Norwich levels indefinitely whilst we remain out of their reach or is it just 'Yay the mags won't dominate' dumb question

Happens You don't win every game you're logical favourites for when Ipswich were sunk without a trace, against KK's entertainers they drew 1-1 here. Southampton did the double over us when we finished 3rd under KK. Mackems went down in 96/97 and drew 1-1 here, we finished 2nd qualified for the CL. (Man U drew at home to relegated Boro, lost at the mackems but won the league).

100% Be disappointed we didn't play as the standards we've set and at the result, but don't forget the context. Insult to the team and you cant get vexed. Every time we don't win the bed-wetting bothers me more than the result. Had it after Sheffield Wed and were off to Wembley and haven't lost a game since, was it worth it?
-
Were only chasing top 4 because we've overachieved massively in other games. This was not the goal for this squad but for that. 2points against them to finish in the top half is par for the course. Totally agree with everything else.
-
Yes. And when that happened regularly under KK we evolved. Changing the 5-a-side short passing game to use the flanks more and a bit of directness. We don't have options at the moment to do anything different being right at the start of the development.
-
Good start. Felt like he had the energy that's on the wane everywhere else. Think he'll start at Bournemouth with it being an away game and pretty from there on, all things being equal
-
Got to allow for him coming back in after so few starts. That was a typical ASM performance either way if people are honest about it though. Has more bad games than good but provided that's accepted we can debate whether to tolerate it or not, the pro's and con's, as a pro HBA/Ginola/Tino/Robert guy. Were a team reliant on the sum of its parts now however.
-
I kinda expected that. After the lord mayor's shows, Bruno/Isak out, getting tired, opponent that wont mind sitting back, our difficulty scoring So it is what it is. Thought the goal might spark WIlson into life but didn't seem to and ASM albeit a first start for ages were disappointing though.
-
Middlesbrough must look on in envy at a team 6places below that's scored less goals.
-
Yeah I've a similar sense. A chance to put the pretenders in their place, something to gage that they've still got it. A bigger game for them that way on than us plus we have a CL place to be nervous about. *especially if Everton turn them over, which wouldn't be a surprise
-
Brighton and Brentford, just great jobs done there. Keeps some of the c*nts at bay into the bargain
-
Southampton are so down. Shot their bolt with the chance of a new manager bounce and everything.
-
Haven't had a shot on goal. If I didn't know better I'd swear they got a wee bit carried away about beating Middlesbrough
-
If Liverpool don't beat Everton its the shock I'd be mindful of against them rather than anything logical
