Vagueley remember hearing it was designed to do so but can't imagine it being battle tested whilst Man United played. (*or when Villa and Liverpool only half-filled it for their semi) At the first semi against Sheffield United I wondered whether accounting for the likes of us bouncing around it had been taken into consideration.

Rotherham are the latest to be cursed by wasting their time on that competiton.
-
Probably also the aforementioned Leicester 7-1 (more than one reason) and Barcelona Tino. Shout out again for the Villa 5-1 in 94 - great stories. Spurs 3-3 in 95 is about perfect, had eveything, good quality, great atmosphere. and Stoke away in 95 - watched it back a few times, its just liquid football

That's it I'm getting into gambling

O'Brien #1 at the mackems is under-rated. Coming out of the midfield minefield of a derby in those days to measure that sublime chip so precisely was so out of context. Hottiger's pre-Roberto Carlos Roberto Carlos at Blackburn in the cup is up there too, hated them for whatever reason at the time so was like my derby. Also let out an orgasmic eek when Clark cocked to score the winner - so you'd have to consider that a favourite

That shirt is a homage to their away shirt 90-92, I think the first time they wore it was at Anfield in that 4-0 loss (Beardsley hat-trick wasn't it?), so think it will be 4-0.

Yep. Expected applause but signing YNWA was very cool. Any like dislike or respect of CR redundant in this regard, I'm sorry for him and good luck to him and his partner.

They were my halcyon days 92-98, lodged in the memory, and go to's for references.

94/95. 6th would have been enough if Blackburn were in the CL and Man U in the CWC.
-
Lumped into the same category of sized club as Plymouth and Bolton and not as a dig.
-
Must be weird for you mate. Caught between Liverpool and Man City going for the title. Things really do come right around. Its like that time we murdered Blackburn when they were going for the title, was better for us if Blackburn beat us and win the league and Man U win the cup (go into the CWC) and we'd be in Europe........if you times its by a million

Yes. I'd have had him here were it not for Rob Lee, maybe as an alternate with the multi-pronged assault on all competitions. Very consistent, plenty of goals, good in the air and in that team, in a better more ambitious team he may have been top level. Thought it may happen with his being good mates with Barton and speaking well of us.

Wolfcastle replied to David Edgar's topic in Football
Apparently they went 10 games unbeaten at the start of this season. Bruce wasnt in charge We went 9 games without a win at the same time. Bruce was in charge. -

Wor Flags: visit worflags.org.uk/donate to support future displays

Maybe a flag displaying our record pre Howe and post Howe with a superimposed face on a cricket appeal titled "Hey media....HOWEZAT?!?!" since it'll be well in cricket season and they like a link. We can't do a Tiote homage incase it upsets Clive 'Dr Zauis' Anderson again then again maybe not. -

Kelly might still be my favourite ever player and I suppose an underrated legend, would have loved to have been there to witness that. A flag of Tino holding up the corner flag would be interesting, artistically, like a dream within a dream sort of thing. -
Same. I've recovered to fist pumping and roaring at the goals, nervous as heck through the games and smiling like a Cheshire cat for the next 48hours after a win - but was jumping around at that for the first time in who knows how long and was only in the hoose. Lush to know still got it in me.

Matt Targett set to miss remainder of season with hamstring injury (Howe)
Wolfcastle replied to SUPERTOON's topic in Football
Yeah. Pretty much perfect for our needs this season. Solid foundation and a cracking piece of business. -
Now that would be cringe.

I first saw him in a different light in the West Ham game. Just did a few things confidentally and well and looked a player at times. Still only thought he'd be competent when called upon but steadily, slowly and surely he's putting a string together. Well played Wor Krafth Its going to feel ruthless if we part with some of these lads now after not just the efforts but visible improvements that have been coached out of them.

Fleetwood, Coventry, Charlton, Portsmouth, Lincoln, others and now Shrewsbury. They're like the club version of Souness, starting fights everywhere they go and being too arrogant to see they're the ones with the problem. Yozzer c*nts

Eddie Howe - Nominated for Manager of the Season
Wolfcastle replied to InspectorCoarse's topic in Football
and the previous best player missed a chunk of games and is well off the boil -
Last South America that waved a flag around got booked. Miggy got off lightly there. That wasn't after the game was over though in fairness.

Burnley have Southampton at home next, perfect for them. They've got a great run in, I've put them down for lot of points, not saying panic and of course that might not happen and things could turn around today but some people's over-confidence when it can easily term disturbs me in this pressure.
