Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)
Wolfcastle replied to Marko NUFC's topic in Football
Watched the other Barcelona home game from the Inter CL campaign on an Austrian CL show. Battered them. If Bellamy could kick we'd have won that too. Have to admit it took me by surprise. Just remember Kluivert getting clapped off and Sir Bobby shouting "well played" at the end. -
Royal Antwerp Crowned

Seems to be. They've spent most of the time since outside the top division. Football wasn't invented in 1957 marra

SJP never holding a concert again is on a par with SJP holding concerts regularly to me. Coventry and Sunderland get them regularly. Good for them. Couldn't care less personally.

Man United have played like we did in 98 & 99 had we got a ridiculous penalty decision and they managed to hit post and bar

The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Conference League (at least)

Rememeber when not expecting maximum points from Leicester/Brighton and claiming winning at Chelsea was a big ask was derided as "bed wetting"? -
4 wins in 33 games for Allardyce. Still thinks he's great.

We became a better team without Cole and with Gillespie. Became title contenders in the next two seasons where we were falling away from that previously and struggling to score. Victors get to rewrite history but Cole was considered a disaster his first three seasons at Man United, a literal joke at times.

Salah's right mind. They had everything to qualify for the CL. 14years head-start on Newcastle, referees, VAR referees, the media, trying to stop our takeover, threatening to form a new league, intimidation of match officials, allegations of bias against the whole shabang. and still fucked it up at the first possible hurdle. -
Chelsea vs. Newcastle United: 28/05/23 @ 16:30 (No UK TV)

Bruce has one win in 13 this season Lampard one win in 19 in all comps this season -
That's correct (researched it for something on the Mag a while back). And the next home game ("game day 3") against West Ham too (Everton got 18,118). Probably for a few others too - Grimsby for sure, 10,000 more than were at Man City's game in the top-flight, and Grimsby was maxed out (could have been more).

What Alexi Lalas?

I think they (Levy, fans) are still in hope and panic of bouncing back in or clinging on to the "6" so nobody is going to get time for at least another season. Need a good old midtable finish before a Rodger's or someone could survive producing a standard Spurs season.

This is on there today and it doesn't at all show what the comment says. It shows the Keegan era was the post war average and the bigger rise was four years after Keegan left but there's no reasoning with people that can look at a graph and believe their own lying eyes over what's right there or start yet another attendance arguement when its as one sided against them as it is.

7pages and 132posts in less than 3hours on a non-existent rivalry, a club that hasn't existed for a year and a half and one they don't care about.

Wasn't so long ago my life's work was to piss on his grave. Now I merely wish destitution, incarceration and lifetime of misery on him. How things change.

Its like people saying "Christmas is too commercial" like its a revelatory cutting and clever insight when millions of people have thought the same for decades.

Really? What a pisser. That's the essence of the story for me plus it would be nice to show outsiders and disbelievers the actual state of the shit show he bequeathed us

Sir John Hall: Champions League Freddie Shepherd: Champions League, cup finals Mike Ashley: championship (twice), cups are a pest Consortium: Champions League, cup final Was definitely our expectations that were the problem.

This level of professionalism is humbling. Still cant fully believe this is us.

People that celebrated Newcastle getting relegated, not even at the expense of their club, who milk 6 in a row as if its all they've got, who celebrated eeking into the Championship play-offs a few weeks ago *and who celebrated a 'sportwashing' project to wind up Man United fans when Man City first won the PL think its sad to celebrate finishing in the top 4.

Isak's winner against Fulham turning a draw into a win in a tight and not the best game had vibes of being meaningful come to end about it. -
Our last three owners either side of shitehead have qualified for the Champions League deluded to think Ashley was the problem though iirc
