Okay, so you'll know that the only reason the fees are what they are is so that both clubs hit their own respective magic numbers and do it with players they can afford to lose. The fees are basically meaningless in terms of the players' actual worth.

But you're completely ignoring the entire point of the transfers despite PSR and not selling our star players being the entire reason it happened at all. Second part is just childish and nothing to do with what I said tbh.

I'm saying this as someone who dips in to loads of opposition fan forums though, as I'm sure plenty of others do. That Holmesdale one stands out like a sore thumb (rtg for obvious reasons aside) to me.

I'm usually one for not tarring all fans with the same brush, but their forum does seem to have a higher population of unlikeable characters than average.

It's about as clear an indication that you're going to get. Teams generally don't start players they're about to sell, particularly if it cup ties them.
