  1. Shame he's not on the bench, was hoping the people who'd left him in would pay for it with a 2 minute appearance at the end
  2. Alright, it's just that this was the context. If you were making two separate points fair enough
  3. If I have fair enough, but I think all you can take from that is that there's demand for tickets.
  4. Didn't say you did. WM did though
  5. 'People buying tickets for a cup match means we they'd all be fine with moving away from St James' Park' is a huge leap in the dark like.
  6. No one had any issue with any of our fans wanting rid of Mike Ashley or having any association with him because of how badly he ran the club. No one was saying we should be fine with it because other businesses deal with him. Now swap the running a football club badly part with 'because they're actual murderers' - it doesn't take a leap of imagination to understand why some fans of that club might want rid of them and want no association with them. You can still support the club without being antagonistic towards a group of people with a completely reasonable stance. You don't have to excuse yourself for supporting Newcastle, you can support Newcastle while acknowledging that our owners are terrible cunts. 'Support the team, not the regime' was the excuse for years and it applies here, you don't need to excuse the regime because they finance the team.
  7. Only just noticed now how often you mention 'the majority' agreeing with you.
  8. They'd have better luck selling garlic in Transylvania like, so strategically it's a complete waste of time and energy, but fair play to them, they have my support.
  9. Got the family on. Long shot but is there any way of seeing a photo of the names? It would be a great little extra Christmas present for my lass's dad. I'm thinking like an overhead 8k photo sort of thing then we can look for names ourselves
  10. Same date of birth (allegedly) as me. Both 38 today
  11. How we feeling about this lads? I've got that guilty confidence feeling if that makes sense? Thinking that we could realistically thrash them, then the emo part of me thinking it'll be 1-1 and I shouldn't be arrogant

I think just a bit of leeway might be the way to go. As long as they're close it should be fine. I noticed this especially when putting in nzogbia and assuming I wouldn't need the '
  13. That's a pathetic decision for so many reasons that others have mentioned like. The main one that hasn't been mentioned is that they appear to be arbitrarily drawing a line where the ball is while it's in motion on a 25fps feed.
  14. It has to be psychological, but I've noticed that he's still very good if he's coming onto the ball. Almost all of his goals like for us are like that.
  15. Watching this again, it's another classic Joelinton performance imo. Defensively he's so good
  16. "Cramlington has fallen" RTG's hilarious like. They love their mythical North Tyneside and Northumberland Mackems.
  17. I'm not saying that like. Man City got taken over by UAE, I immediately hated Man City. If I was say a Spurs fan, Newcastle get taken over by Saudi Arabia, I'd immediately hate Newcastle. That's what I meant.
  18. Leicester 0-2 Man City Bournemouth 0-2 Spurs Brentford 2-0 Wolves Brighton 1-1 Chelsea Palace 2-1 Southampton Newcastle 2-0 Villa Fulham 2-0 Everton Liverpool 2-0 Leeds Arsenal 5-0 Forest Man United 2-1 West Ham
  19. There are plenty that didn't care or liked us before who now don't specifically because of our owners. Whether you care or not is another matter
  20. Think it's probably the Saudi state ownership as well tbh. I'd immediately hate us if it was another club.
  21. I'm still not convinced by any of the theories like, but the George loyalists theory seems to have as much evidence for it as the Stephenson lamp theory (none )
  22. I've always been like that, I used to regularly set arbitrary challanges that I would tell myself would mean something else. eg 'if the bus comes in the next 2 minutes it means that Newcastle will win on Saturday' - a completely normal quirk that carried on from childhood to adulthood, but a lot of people are now seemingly desperate to self-diagnose as ADHD.
  23. I'm very funny about which tops I wear when I'm watching the match and when I put them on. If we lose or draw and I was wearing a top, it goes to the bottom of my rotation and I'm dubious about wearing a top if I remember that we didn't play that well or didn't get a result the last time I wore it. It's ridiculous really. There's been a few times (like the Everton match the other week) where if I'm wearing a new top and we're not playing well, I'll just take it off. It's now starting to spread to which NUFC socks I wear. I don't believe in any of it, but act exactly like someone who does.
