  1. Maybe the bizarre looking double wrist bandaging was a novel weight loss technique! Has anyone heard anything about that?
  2. Hardly the same, a like for like comparison. I hold him responsible for two periods of estrangement/disinterest in NUFC/my club. How do you imagine I feel about him? In a similar way though I see no point in ranting expletives anymore, or confusing my own feelings/thoughts with facts about him. Personally, I don’t want to hear of him or be reminded of him other than as a breath of relief that however frustrating it gets, those days are gone.
  3. And there’s me thinking it was common human decency towards someone who has fuck all to do with us anymore. Off to pop on a Hawkwind album ?
  4. Please yourselves lads. I’m not the morals police.
  5. Great honest and open interview by Longstaff and fantastic insight into the relationship building in the club plus the wisdom and humanity of Howe. Shame to see it used as another opportunity to Bruce bash. Small plea, based on not nothing else but acknowledgement that he is also a person, a local lad who was an exceptional footballer and has no doubt done his best through a long managerial career. He has faced, like lots of us, significant personal loss and, unlike most of us, very public failings and professional disappointments. If you can’t forgive and feel the need to criticise please save the lack of compassion for the toxically named thread, then those of us who feel uncomfortable about reading such stuff can simply stay away.
  6. You can eat there and relax a little more pre-match than traipsing in last minute. Given you’ve never done it, maybe give yourself plenty of time there/90 mins maybe (go check out the view from you seat, look at the memorabilia, head back for another drink etc etc). Hope you have a great time ?
  7. How much did Spurs pay for Sissoko? £30m I think.
  8. I’ll be home ‘dans la toon’ this weekend ? SJP tour tomorrow. Keeping today free in case @WillingtonMaglet’s me know where the protests are starting. Assume outside S*** Direct is old news… see you outside The Quilted Camel.
  9. We’ll soon be making offers nobody can refuse.
  10. Chope Livere? It’s a no from me; slow as fuck.

  12. Great post. Direct, cheeky chips, mazy magic runs and beautiful touches. Your name sake would approve!
  13. Picturing roadsweepers and tartan-shopper-toting old dears with furrowed brows.

  15. I had the distinct impression that, to use a technical term, Lampard saw his arse towards the end of last season. Doubt the preseason has helped his confidence.
  16. Latebookings.com … can’t complain really.
  17. Maybe Michael Owen’s helicopter is available?
  18. Did we have the first South American(s) and, much later, the first Brazilian to play at the highest level in England?
  19. Some people seem to think you are just on a continual wind-up. I can see how you give that impression.
  20. It’s good to test the water/share concerns like us appearing amateurish in the arts of negotiation. I don’t think going in with what you’ll pay, if indeed that is our modus operandi, means that the people involved don’t know what they’re doing.
