  1. Well, young Anthony might help Matt T up a rung or two on the NUFC best looking list, and hampers our most handsome team aspirations, but what a player he is and can become. I’d be delighted to sign him. But we won’t. Unless Everton are in need of dosh or he and Lampard don’t get on, their fans would have a reverse-Rafa meltdown losing one of their own.
  2. Is it a bird? Is it a (random) plane? No. It’s BobbyD the banhammer man!
  3. Not sure, but Osimhen might be a Hurricane pilot… to be confirmed.
  4. Spotted these on Saturday ?
  5. Just noticed that in March, my pseudo-scientific method correctly predicted we’d finish on 49 pts. Buoyed by amazing Uri Geller like teckers, I will use similar dark arts and predict that we will have 26 points by the end of 2021/or first 19 games (5% better than season average for 2021-22) and add a further 35 points in the last 19 games/2023 (10% worse than 2022). So 61 points. Enough for 6th last year.
  6. Can’t see it happening. He’s Everton to the core, but I rate Gordon really highly. He’ll go on to have a great career; most likely elsewhere at some point.
  7. Yep, Babosa (mini) saga smacked of the player wanting a move and his representatives/bored journos grasping for links. Shame in a way as think he could do a job/would be decent.
  8. It’s amusing, bewildering at times, cherry picking stuff from that forum. But all human life is in their fan base, just like any other. With perhaps a greater proportion with chips on their shoulders re their more successful nearest rivals, than most.
  9. … really loved Riverside Park? ?
  10. Noa Lang linked with this left winger/forward today. Was at Ajax Youth with Botman. Guessing there would be no point; unless ASM is off somewhere.
  11. Soooo, Diaby (gathering traction on the rumour mill), Wijnaldum on loan (possibly made up), and Osimhen (fantasy football, but Howay we can dream…). That’ll do pig.
  12. Shocking, but probably just as well based on the quality shown here. Might have trained the 10 year olds to use the overlockes by the time they get to yours.
  13. We were definitely unlucky in that Man U home game (think we deserved to lose away) and the away loss to Liverpool, that neutrals rave about, we could so easily have won (missed a couple of chances, to go 3-1 up I think, might have broke their spirit a bit). Can’t recall the other losses/draws that season, but think we played shit losing to Blackburn and in that draw with Nottingham Forest. We might not have done, mind, maybe just the disappointment of not wining games we really needed to.
  14. Well if we had won that game, and all other results had remained the same for the rest of the season for Man U and for us, we actually would have won the league. No opinion about it (we would have fished on 81 and them on 79). It was that close. Forget the late ‘demise,’ we could say that by failing to win that home game, against the eventual winners, when we were clearly the better side, we lost our best chance to win the (top) league.
  15. Read these stats in The Mirror: ”Wilson signed for the Magpies in September 2020 for around £20m, and has since gone on to register 20 goals and five assists in 44 top flight outings during his two-season stay. ” Imagine how excited we’d be signing someone new who had that kind of return in the Premier League?
  16. The Man U at home game the following season had, ahem, quite a good atmosphere too! Even though. I swear we didn’t dominate as much as the 0-1.
  17. Can’t help wondering what is it for them? Beyond a barely rational compulsion to grow any business venture or an elaborate money laundering scheme… is that shirt Citeh blue?
  18. They were and yet fucking amazing too!
  19. It’s the new (ish) thing. We ignore thread topic and talk/bicker/wax lyrical about all sorts of brain shit. Just warming up figures until Osimhen signs ?
  20. The ghosts of the corner, they say YES!!
  21. I’d have a lot of respect and admiration for Lascelles if, assuming he believes he isn’t going to feature much, he voluntarily offers the armband to be re-allocated. Seems like the right thing to do.
  22. Given the level of interest/excitement at the mo, I’d be surprised if the £35/£15 cost for both games didn’t see both being sold out.
  23. Ah! Nightclubbing in Shields. Buddy’s anyone (below)? £2 in and 40p a pint (Christ I feel old). Occasionally walking home (… about ten miles!) when taxis started demanding money up front. Never saw Kev there mind ?‍♂️
