I totally got my Trafalgar Square timings wrong last time. There were about 150 people there but all quite sedate. I (alcohol may well have been involved…) hijacked a busker spot (African drummer) and sang full version of Blaydon Races, with continual scary twirling, on way to Square; not one frigging group of fans passed and didn’t get a penny for him or me! Ended up shamefacedly giving him a tenner 😂

Wild water swim in the morning then ‘inflict’ non-stop Sam Fender on my three non-NUFC supporting young uns, until a ham and please pudding stottie lunch (mail order from Big River Bakery) avec knickerbocker glories (channelling favourite childhood treat from Marc Toney’s) and Brown Ale infused haze of a match which means far too much. But these are the moments folks; got to fully live them.
