  1. Looking at the actual events of recent seasons adding a hopeful dusting of believing the club wants what they have said they want and forgetting the journo speculation leads me to think the following. This version of NUFC have for the three and a half seasons Howe has been in charge returned top six form. Add in to that the ambitions of the owners, the unforgettable taste of cup success, Champions League qualification (plus lessons from lack of squad depth last time), a few likely departures, £89m net transfer spend over last three years and that equals a big fuck-off summer splurge. Minimum four first team players incoming.
  2. Off for my first preseason fantasy scouting session!
  3. Pilgrimage vibes. Bet he found the up hill Gallowgate to Leazes journey harder 😉
  4. @Kid Icarus interesting to see especially comparison with previous seasons. You’re quite a tough scorer though, winner averaging less than 7. Bet you don’t give many 10/10 and wonder what distribution looks like, not many performances below 4 or above 7 would be my guess.
  5. There’s always a tension when the talent, in what ever field, in this case Howe—the person who has the knowledge and personal attributes to ensure the conditions are in place to deliver the performances required—is also smart enough, and committed enough, to see through the corporate and managerial power plays and bullshit. Mitchell seemed a poor choice (no insider info) just reading the room and between the lines. Glad it has been corrected; hope it hasn’t damaged any of the relationships which need to continue. Shouldn’t be able to get a cigarette paper between manager/coach and executive leadership and owners.
  6. Thanks @Magpie you’re a top man for doing this. Congratulations @Pokerprince2004 great consistency to average 21 points 🥇 Well done to the rest of us, there’s credit in the resilience it takes to stick it out through the vagaries of unpredicted results and missed weeks 🙌🏻
  7. Anyone else just get hard?
  8. Can’t say I’m disappointed, or surprised, at the news. Would love to see the real views about him and his views on his role made public.
  9. Best PL era managers (at least 38 games in charge). Keegan still pipping Howe at the post, points per game wise.
  10. Eddie & Co's record for all competitive games to date. Taken from Brentford at home (2020-21) which seems a little harsh given he wasn't actually in charge until two games later, but is the official position I believe.
  11. Purely on position and points, last year sneaks in at number 7 in our PL top ten hit parade.
  12. Next year my man, add those points next year 🤌🏻
  13. They’ve been in great form under Moyes to be fair. Done well against the best sides.
  14. Get loads of dosh vs win Europa League 🤷‍♂️
  15. Yes Yes No. Were we spending the circa 2.5 times the dosh?
  16. Don’t mind Casemiro’s angle, i.e. it is the worst season for their club in the Premier League/ship era (trumping last year’s lowest league finish, and by some distance but without cup compensation) but he’s happy with his own hard work/dedication. The way he was moving last night though, risks being known as Trunkmiro.
  17. Let’s get Wharton instead. Also shoots like a 12 year old =good fit 😉 (now Wharton behind Bruno and Tonali would be the best midfield we’d ever seen).
  18. Gameweek 38 Bournemouth 2-1 Leicester Fulham 1-2 Man City Ipswich 1-3 West Ham Liverpool 2-1 Palace Man United 2-1 Villa Newcastle 2-0 Everton Forest 1-1 Chelsea Southampton 0-3 Arsenal Spurs 1-3 Brighton Wolves 1-1 Brentford
  19. I reckon slightly tumescent, sun’s out it’s that mind wandering time of day.
  20. ‘Kin hell. We’ll be TNT I bet. Need to check my one month subscription via Prime is still valid. (it is! Phew)
  21. Plus they have a Georgian drunk tank as their badge. Embarrassing really.
