  1. I don’t imagine this would land well, at least it wouldn’t with me. Inference is: we are on a journey… and Howe may not be able to stay with us all the way (because he’s not up to it) or he may get tempted away because of his quality.
  2. Not another one falling out with their lass! 😉
  3. Two contenders in the one game!
  4. Fair enough, Arsenal finished 5th (Emery), 6th and 5th (Wenger’s last two seasons) in the three years before Arteta’s first season. Manchester United finished 6th (Rangnick), 2nd and 3rd (Solskjaer). Not as different as I imagined. Ten Hag’s 3rd and 8th looks worse than Mourinho’s 2nd and 6th and possibly comparable to van Gaal’s 5th and 4th before him. It’s funny but I still think of Manchester United as a top three side but checking the facts it feels a long time since Ferguson’s side finished no lower than 3rd in the 21 seasons since he first won the PL. No wonder you have a lot of disgruntled fans given how many probably started supporting a club who won the league 13 times in that period.
  5. Shame Barnes wasn’t red carded: Sensational Alex, Harvey banned.
  6. Do you think Arteta and Ten Hag picked up teams who were comparable at that point? Genuine question. It is quite magnificent for ETH to win two major cup trophies in his first two seasons, all things taken into account, but he has also guided you to your lowest ever PL finish. Finishing position this season will be critical to his potential of having a 4th yet alone 5th season.
  7. I wonder whether playing without Trippier and Schar has contributed towards this. We’ve been reliant on their out balls, and perhaps calming influence, to build our attacks and maintain possession for a couple of seasons. Are we still discovering, and thus far getting away with, a new system?
  8. He’s nowhere near ready, mind. Could do with a season in a lower league.
  9. So many unusual/unforced errors. Wonder if his confidence has taken a knock over the summer with England? Must have felt a million dollars when he joined after being player of tournament in U21 Euros. Perhaps the opposite has occurred. Hopefully temporarily.
  10. Fucking brutal. ‘Black’ squad won every individual battle.
  11. Reassuring news! Here’s hoping for a first few minutes like the last game; but two goals this time.
  12. Both Anderson and Armstrong went for similar floated chips over Pope in the recent games. Apropos nowt, but it is a low probability unusual goal attempt and stood out that two of our previous players fancied trying it.
  13. I’m just spontaneously creative 🤷‍♂️
  14. We’ll soon be haring around the pitch.
  15. I vote for leave the throne room immediately, gentle neck punch, leg sweep then bit of face sitting (pay attention to nasal positioning) to finish the job (-by). Am I right? p.s. can the intruder please be Louise Taylor?
  16. How do you think Eddie feels about Louise Taylor?
  17. I’m not being influenced by recent speculation, but Dazza has a lot to prove from my perspective. Two years in, he’s beyond that period where he is relationship building and still riding the wave of what got him appointed. At risk of being big sucked under and flailing around like a rag doll in a groundswell ’Toon Army tsunami’.
  18. Brighton are top of the Premier League at the moment.
  19. Not sure being precious captures most of the disgruntlement I have read about Hope’s recent piece and general slant on things. Creating drama, colouring ‘the news’ in ominous tones, just doesn’t sit well with me/many people. For every person getting fucked off with it, there are probably three getting unnecessarily worried or angry about the ‘soap opera stylee’ way our club business is being portrayed. Be a better man, Craig. You’ll feel better for it.
  20. … on a bike. It is how he chooses to do it. The focus taken, which gets people’s backs up. Maybe it gets him more clicks/a bigger profile. Doubt it personally. People used to justify the appalling level of journalism and valueless rumour mongering and scapegoating in the British tabloids of old by highlighting their impressive sales. Point is though they all contributed to a lowest common denominator cesspit of disgusting slights and subnormal reasoning. If they had more integrity and actually just, preferably entertainingly, reported news they would have likely sold as many and diminished themselves and the nation less in the process. Same applies to modern day online hacks. They choose to take an angle, or just can’t help their true self leaking out in the focus they take. Wish they’d try harder/do better.
  21. Gameweek 3 Arsenal 0-1 Brighton Brentford 2-0 Southampton Everton 1-1 Bournemouth Ipswich 1-2 Fulham Leicester 2-2 Villa Forest 2-1 Wolves West Ham 1-2 Man City Chelsea 3-0 Palace Newcastle 2-1 Spurs Man United 1-2 Liverpool
  22. Mmmm 🤨 you can’t control whether the team you support wins anything. You can control how you relate to other supporters. I’m pretty certain anyone not ‘caring’, which in your world comes across like all or nothing shit or bust nonsense, would celebrate just as much as you if we did. It’s not like how much you crave it makes any difference to whether it happens or not.

That tash knocks £50m off his value for a start. I hope they check his birth certificate as I’m sure he featured as washing machine repair man in an 80’s porno.
