We can add other known Toon-refusers and others that weren’t made available to that list as well (Mbeumo, Sesko, Strand Larsen, even Semenyo in the previous summer). Imagine having had Ekitike, Mbeumo and Semenyo in the ranks at the beginning of the season.

Newcastle United vs. mackems: 22/3/26 @ 12:00 (Sky Sports)

We should play Lewis Hall as a winger, seems like our best player at actually beating a man, rather than outsprinting one. -
I hear accommodation is cheap is Israel at the minute. Not that easy to get a flight. Travel time may take up a fair bit of the 10 weeks.

I think when you a player of his level (and age) he may feel he has done everything he can for us (he has) and deserves to play for a bigger team (he definitely could and probably should). We are not where he probably hoped we would be by now, though to be fair Eddie and, to some smaller extent us all, have helped make him the player he is and I genuinely think he couldn’t have a stronger bond with NUFC and us. So here’s hoping that counts for something. Dawns on me that at the end of the game Joelinton then Bruno went over to Raphina and my first thought was hope they’re tapping him up. Unlikely I know.
-
Well that is grim. Getting our arses smacked last night and general struggle if this season might just provoke him to leave (and many of the other star players we have assembled). In order of risk: Tonali, Livramento, Gordon, Bruno, Hall. (Obvs just my angst ridden brain no knowledge as such).
-
Had to play. Needed his nous, unfazed familiarity with the stadium/occasion, and general steadying influence last night. He needed Lewis Hall’s legs!
-
He looked rusty as fuck last couple of cameos. He’ll be back to his best (hopefully for us!!).

Shite or cracking. 🎵 Black ‘n’ White Army/thinking 🎵 delete as mood takes you.

Could be wrong, but don’t think we have ever spent more in a window and it ended up being what we thought it looked like, working our way far too far down our wish lists. Don’t think there is much wrong with our potential player identification, now we can (could) afford to go for finished articles the feckers just don’t want to come.

Aaron Ramsdale: return to Southampton confirmed
Coffee_Johnny replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
Wouldn’t say that mind. Recent Manure game is a good example of what he can do. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DVghxPFEmBo/ -
He’s not to going to though. We have seen what he has to offer against teams who take us on, play a high defensive line and go toe to toe. And I mean why wouldn’t Barca do that? They could play anyone off the park on their day. That said, hoping he can take some confidence from scoring two goals there. Think they said the had only conceded 8 goals at home all season.
-
Wonder if Lawro is still available. For those of you who don’t get the reference, brought in as a defensive coach for Keegan team perceived to need it (… check the goals conceded, there was nothing wrong with our defence relative to other top teams at the time and certainly to all our teams since).
-
Not that it probably eases his pain, but Osula getting the nod is more about style of play, and pace, than relative perceived quality.

Wissa has missed out on some big, memorable for life, games. Must be a real slap in the face/leveller. Especially as we have reverted to playing the two strikers—sorry forwards—we had before he and Big Nick arrived. You think you are going somewhere for big money, huge profile, and CL games. At least he got the first of the three.

Aaron Ramsdale: return to Southampton confirmed

I think there is a lot to like about Ramsdale ‘at the back’ for us. He was exposed by the rest of the defence yesterday, but he also seemed too slow to react for a couple of the goals. Maybe just my disappointment at the time, but I am sure the coaching set up will review avoidable/soft goals and this may lead to changes. -
Thought he was just knackered and knew the game had gone. But whole leaning on physio coming off did not look great.
-
Really? Those are the only two possible answers? You must have assimilated an incredible amount of coaching manuals to be able to pinpoint the only two possible reasons for NUFC’s preferred tactical and positional set ups. It can only be one of two persistent character flaws in the manager. Thank you for doing the hard thinking for us all Mover.

Ah well, turned out to be a disappointing evening in the end. Wish we had something to look forward to….
