Despite all the talk of our poor start, if we win the next two games (Sheff Utd away and Burnley at home), for what my estimate is worth, we will be above the points total predicted for the end of September, which would be compatible with a sixth place finish (taking into account relative difficulty of games at different stages of the season).

You (collectively) gave a great account of yourselves and the club. Loved hearing the singing at the end, when we needed the kind of push that can come from knowing your fans are with you, and occasion bits which came through at other times. I was really pissed off that the TV didn’t show our fans until about the 90th minute, unless I missed something earlier?

Gordon surprisingly low.

Taking a wild guess, I’d say it (I.e. the should have been comfortably beaten comment) was probably to do with the 15 shots to 2—7 to 0 on target—difference between the teams. When was the last time we had two shots/none on target and did we get anything out of the game?
-
Result, literally. We were really lucky to escape without conceding (some comical finishing). But god knows we’ve had our share of bad luck. That said, I could see us beating them at SJP; unfortunately about as much as I can seeing us getting turnover by them—great at breaking/counter attacking.

Well can’t help thinking that shirt pull on Murphy and shove on Longy would have resulted in free kicks for home side.

Great game thus far from his holiness.

Riding out the storm. We’ll settle.

Who is the fecking director, not one shot of our fans.

Yes. It is your log in details which are being registered. You can watch anywhere. -
There must be football chant (deliberately omitted the word ‘good’) for us from that tune.

Once upon a time, in my lifetime, this is the kind of thing that would have guaranteed retribution. I really hope it doesn’t now. There is no place for violence in our club culture specifically and football in general. I hope the fans (from everywhere) who visit our city have a wonderful welcoming time. -
They were very fortunate to escape relegation last season. Beyond a steadier hand on the tiller, they don’t seem much improved. Probably in the minority, but I have a soft spot for Everton and hope they find a way of playing which will keep them up. Not at all confident they will at the moment though.

I am shit at this game. Think I first started playing in the mid nineties (Newspaper version). Why do I/we do it?

I’ll liking him more, all of a sudden!

Hope it feels ok for Sandro tonight against his boyhood club. Wouldn’t want him losing sleep over scoring a brace
