Rabiot is a rumour that keeps floating, looked decent there other night and having a good season by all accounts. Again, would we sign someone who might potentially upset the apple cart? Plus wrong age as well, even at just 27.

Keeper has had a mare there. Looked like a geriatric falling out of a wheelchair trying to save that.

It’s pure economics, the way certain clubs have been operating in terms of wage structure is just not sustainable when they are not reaching the targets on the pitch. PSG could spend another billion and still be nowhere nearer winning the Chanpions League. Liverpool broke the bank to keep Salah and they can’t afford it.. plus it might also have upset the squad a bit. Saudi (PIF) will continue investing but it will remain sensible and sustainable. We might have a player earning £200k a week but certainly not 500.. but that’s fine, the stability will become attractive to top players rather than basket case clubs with no plan but who offer the moon

The worst (or best) shithousery I’ve ever seen was that Arsenal reaction after RVN missed that penalty. Man Utd were rattled over it. Our antics are mild so far.. plenty of room to grow ☺️

He’s been on what’s considered “fuck you money” for years. This is a move purely to release him from his contract. Be done within a few days. Very much a fuck you. There’s no love for the club there with him.. he was going to go to City before his old club stepped in and doubled his wages. Real was always his aim once he established himself. It’s toxic alright but probably the things he’s saying about no change at the club are probably true. Really bad for ETH as well, there’s no way he doesn’t come out of this looking weaker.

We need to be careful with these stupid fouls

They won’t match our intensity, if we can just keep doing what we’re doing right than we should get something. Changing a winning formula is also a terrible idea. That’s why I think Maxi stays on the bench. Whether it’s Joelinton or Murphy starting forward left, Wilson starting up front is vital as his presence is what’s giving Miggy more space. Teams should know what to expect when playing us - they just can’t do anything about it.
-
Best of luck to him ? although I hope Villa win tonight.. just so we have a chance to take on Emery at the latter stages if possible.
-
Must say I was neither underwhelmed or excited about this signing but I had no idea he was going to be this good for us. Quickly getting up there with Shay Given as our best keeper. Probably more commanding. The backline even with Lascelles in are just much calmer with him being there.

Beautiful

Whoever was saying they wanted Chelsea to lose to take pressure off us? I’m the opposite, I’m looking up the table ?

Not overly worried about anyone we play these days but I’ll be as tense before this as would playing any of the top sides. It’s a weird season so far. Some underperforming sides who should be up where we are. But some of the draws we’ve had should have been 3 points. And our only loss was a fiasco with that extra 3/4 mins of stoppage time. There’s a case to be made that if officiating was less rubbish we could be on similar points to Arsenal and City right now.

Next signing is so important in terms of not upsetting the balance. My concern isn’t so much about our starting 11 anymore, it’s more about how we could cope with certain players getting injured, Trippier for 1.. and then Bruno, you just can’t replace them from what we have currently.
-
We’ve just spent so well with what we have bought. Botman is just a monster. Some might say it was an obvious signing to make but it can’t have been, or others would have been in before us. Our scouting/recruitment department needs to start getting some credit.
-
That was pretty much the easiest half of football I’ve ever seen us play in years, or should I say we made it look easy. Villa came to waste time and try and snatch something. As soon as we scored they had no more ideas. We look a top 6 team for sure right now, maybe even top 4.. I know that’s where we are but long way to go etc. Love the consistency.

Not getting the hate for him, he was advised badly and he has some loyalty to the person who’s giving this bad advice. The plan for PSG was to sell Neymar so he probably thought he’d be playing more until Neymar dug his heels in. He’s young enough that a year in limbo won’t do his career all that much harm and the things he will learn from the forwards in that squad.. I’d have no hesitation going back in for him again… as long as he ditched the agent. Trouble will follow that chap.

We’ve absolutely nothing to be afraid of. The league table doesn’t lie. We’re a good team now and ultra hard to break down. Villa have some good players but almost a full season accumulatively of Gerrard wrecking their careers won’t get fixed overnight. Clean sheet and 2/3 goals. We could be third if Bournemouth do us a favour. And imagine, Maxi and Isak to come into the team when we’re fully fit.
-
Wonderful news. He’s really living his best life here and long may it continue.
-
It won’t make a difference. You don’t shake that sort of Bruceness out instantly, it even took Eddie Howe a month or so before we started showing real progress. There’s no team we should fear playing now.
-
Just watched his post match comments, he’s utterly defeated.
-
They are all beginning to get rattled, more so because we’re doing it sensibly and not following the PSG or City route by buying everyone decent and seeing what shit sticks to the wall. Seeing all these pricks come out of the woodwork feels like a badge of honour for how we’re being run right now.
-
If Joelinton plays in left midfield again next match, I hope Willock plays left forward, he’s far more capable of beating a man than Murphy, while Maxi is still injured I mean. I don’t even think Howe knows what his strongest team is currently.
-
He’s an absolute unit, reads the game so well too. His transfer fee is absolutely cheap.. for his potential. Him and Pope and obviously Tripps have added such calmness to the back line.. it allows Schär and Burn to do their thing and know someone will be there to cover for them if they mess up.
