Tremendous false economy saving 20 million on a bloke who has the attention span of a pea, this Gio looks like he has cat like reflexes and real presence. Cant underestimate the value of a top keeper well worth the investment.

Think I’d take 90% of the players you’d listed above to strengthen our squad and certainly over last few games i’d say at least 5 would have been regular starters for us. To be fair he’s probably got a lot more clout on transfers staying where he is if you’re crediting him for bringing that lot in, no way he has that much influence here in my opinion.

Olise would be the player I’d go all out for, played a couple of nice little balls to Mateta yesterday that showed intelligence and the technical ability where missing at times in final 3rd.

I’ve got a feeling based on nowt that he’ll turn us down, was reading how he regretted leaving Palace when manager, depends ultimately how ambitious he is as Palace will always be a selling club, but he might have a lot of power at Palace that he won’t get here which might impact job satisfaction.

We shouldn’t be we spent nigh on 40 million last summer for his understudy. Saying that I’d bring Joelinton into midfield 3 and play Anderson down the left and see what he can do further up the pitch. -
I think Arsenal looks nailed on, only way we get Sesko is if Isak goes which is a shame as I think he’s going to be the real deal. Big money looks likely to go on one of Neto, Gibbs-White, Olise or Williams I reckon, still wouldn’t be surprised if Wilson is here next season.

15 million and probably on 100k plus at Arsenal, I’m actually going to sleep easier tonight now Luke’s said it’s happening.

If Howe signs him the buck stops simple as, there’ll be no Ashworth this summer to blame for the transfer strategy.
-
There’s got to be serious questions over Pope’s shoulder it’s gone twice now, but if Ramsdale’s the answer I’ve got serious reservations about the manager this summer.
-
This would surpass the Harvey Barnes deal in lacking vision and trusting the scouting network.
-
Think I could just about accept that to be honest.

Adidas might not be perfect but would take their strips over Nike/Pumas offerings every day. New Arsenal strip is very nice.

Don’t see why it’s so unreasonable to think Howe would be under pressure if we missed out on Europe and had another disappointing season next year. A few on here go way over the top after he beats Burnley and Sheff Utd, the truth lies somewhere in between and though overall he’s got a lot of credit in the bank, next season with Tonali and new signings on board there will be targets set internally by PIF, that unless there is serious mitigation such as Isak being crocked all season he will need to hit. The recent interview with Neville clearly confirms he has veto over transfers, so this summer is on him and he needs to get it right.

Just dreadful get fucking shot.

Absolute disgrace after the way fans have been treat by club this season, no sympathy blatantly profiteering on the back of fans and she’ll not be the only staff member doing this.

Yes noticed in the Chronicle last week energy company are looking to remove some electrical pylon that goes over the Tyne to allow larger ships to travel further up river. Think the Tyne and wind power could be where a large chunk of this investment goes.
-
Spot on if Newcastle benefits from Saudi investment like Manchester has from Abhu Dhabi fucking brilliant. This is the part of the takeover that fully justifies govt intervention to push it through, it’s taken a while to gather pace but if the Tyne gets investment for offshore and the universities as well, it’ll be tremendous for the whole of Tyneside and wider region.

Some folk can’t be arsed to stay and clap players off the pitch, stand up make a noise in a cup final, or make a stand against the worst owner in the clubs recent history, unfortunately expecting them to have the vision and ambition beyond a Greggs and a few pints before the match is a step to far.

Newcastle United 1-1 Brighton & Hove Albion (11/05/24) | Reaction: pg 21

Agree where crying out for some creativity, but not sure Tonali is the creative spark from what I’ve seen so far. Ideally I’d like to see one of Tonali/Joelinton alongside Bruno with a 3rd more creative player in there, unfortunately don’t think where getting that under Howe, hence the need for the next RW to have a footballing brain and not just a speed merchant.
