Didn’t Southall come incredibly close? 93, maybe?
-
Let’s not use semantic arguments here. Man Utd going down would quite obviously be the biggest (and funniest) story ever in the Premier League. Including Leicester, because crisis is inherently more fun for the rest of us.
-
However it is on the pitch for them, it must be profoundly shit supporting Brighton and having to do that every home game just to get back to the town. Hope that is never us.
-
Does the fanzone at Brighton show the match?
-
They can fuck off acting like South Shields has not been at least half Newcastle for as long as I- a South Shields resident- have been alive. Maybe show your support to human rights by removing it completely from some petty argument about South Tyneside support percentages, you disingenuous cunt
-
That’s already ended, unless they’re counting draws, which would be absurd
-
Yeah, this is it really. You can’t compare across eras because the game changes so much so quickly. But there is nothing Bruno can’t do. He’s like an ultimate modern footballer.

Would love a spare for this if anybody here of owt

Wor Flags: visit worflags.org.uk/donate to support future displays
Hovagod replied to wor jackie's topic in Football
One thing about the Nina Simone flag I noticed. They showed it on Match of the Day, it was the headline in the Times, the Athletic podcast titled their episode with it and used it over the highlights. So now Wor Flags are not only getting the crowd going on match day, they’re setting the conversational tone after the game as well. That is pretty good going. And such a fucking tune too. -
Have the retro version, bought from the club show when they still sold them, hearby proving I am way more hip than the rest of you.

Funnily enough, the story in the mirror about this quotes Souness, the stupid cunt that turned Bellamy against him within seconds, warning against the perils of, em, throwing your weight around too much as a manager in the dressing room.

Loads of Forest fans around town, enjoying themselves and being friendly. Top class atmosphere this

He’s gone full Linehan.

They’re arseholes, mate. Sad, tragic figures.

Martin Tyler in a bit of bother. Misspoke on Radio 4 and called Hilsborough a ‘hooligan event’. Worth a clarifying statement.

Away games too? For Brighton next week

James Maddison (now playing for Tottenham Hotspur)
Hovagod replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
I mean, if it is being helped along by the agents, I suppose the clubs are being told to keep chipping away at the valuation until he puts in an official transfer request. If it works it’s quite sensible. But this is all speculation -

Yep, quite possibly. But isn’t it the same agency that has Trippier on its books? -

Think the implication is that the encouragement is coming from the player’s camp. -

I specifically remember an away game at Aston Villa- possibly their first of the season, in the season they got taken over- where they got hammered and their fans were praised for their defiance in the face of it. It was not the smooth process to domestic dominance that it is now being presented as. They were fucked and got lucky, just like us. -

They were bopping around mid-table. It’s complete nonsense this idea that they were readying an assault. Actually think Chelsea have way more grounds for that claim. -

Yeah, he’s coming. -

Reading on their forum about this and I notice one or two are saying that City were starting from a much stronger position than us when they got bought. I have no idea when this bogus idea took traction. City were noted failures if not an outright nobody of a club. They won the lottery, that’s all that happened
