Newcastle United vs. Chelsea: 11/05/25 @ 12:00 (TNT Sports)
et tu brute replied to HaydnNUFC's topic in Football
I would agree the following week (and I think he will then also), but Chelsea are well beatable with our current line up especially at home. Gordon to play tomorrow as if Caicedo is at right back, he and Chelsea will be shit scared of his pace and it will stop Caicedo dropping into midfield also. I also think Gordon offers more protection also. I also think Joelington will be playing also, he has been rested, giving an injection and not been ruled out of playing again this season by Howe. I know some have said you can't risk him, but he's obviously been risked previously and regularly, as he's constantly played not being 100% This game will in all likelihood, be the deciding factor in qualifying to the champions league or not. Win and we will any other result and we will be struggling. -
The Dortmund usual strategy plan would have been to buy him from Birmingham if he was so highly rated. The other factor is never mind Dortmund, where were the other top level clubs when he was signed by Sunderland, for a relevant pittance. He's never really stood out as an exceptional talent, whenever I have watched them. I would say he looks a better prospect than Rigg though, who I can never see what the fuss about him is. I do quantify that be their obvious age also.

I agree, but Villa result definitely means that as a draw is no good for the reasons I said just before -

With Villa result, game tomorrow is now not must lose, but raised to now must win. Even a draw would most likely need to mean we need to win the last two games if we don't win -
Can't believe he wasn't at least brought on, as with Coventry relying on their whole game being putting crosses into the box, then surely he was the best option to at least put a challenge onto Ballard who was easily winning everything (apart from their actual goal). Their manager (who has done a decent job considering they finished 16th last season), did his homework in knowing that Coventry would be playing their full game based on delivery into the box, and he selects Ballard to take care of this and as I mentioned above, apart from one occasion he had a field day. The mackems are claiming a masterclass (even though they have been asking for the manager's head in large volumes recently). It wasn't. Sunderland had one really good move for the first goal when they opened up Coventry, and even then the goalkeeper should have saved it. Their second goal was purely down to an awful back pass from the defender.

Yeah they will be bending over quite often getting rammed next season if they do get promoted. Obviously I've mentioned I hope for them to stay down for years and years to come. Certainly don't want them getting promoted and then relegated as they will then get the parachute payments (Short took all their last one to cover their sale to the broke twins as they didn't have the funds), which will probably result in them being an another yo yo club. Failure to go up will see them lose a few players (nowhere near the prices they think they will get) and I think they would struggle next year as a result. I can see Sheff United beating either of the two teams tonight and Coventry have to come out on Tuesday also. The standard though is just so bad in that division.

In his recent interview he said he was very happy here, but I did find it a bit of a statement that he mentioned about any possible deal being good for the club. I'm still convinced that the club were expecting Bruno's release clause to be activated last summer and when it was not, that is when we saw the panic moves started to happen. For him he is quite happy to stay and is not looking to move. The club though may well decide different if the they receive a big offer nd by what he said in his interview, Bruno accepts this outcome if it does venture forward. That's why getting champions league is key to the strategy of the transfer windows. I'm not saying he will leave, just a few thoughts on what may happen.

Brilliant video and his English is excellent. Comes across as totally levelled headed, happy in his life and you can tell the support he has received from the management, players and support has totally been of the greatest life changing event for him in a time when his his mental health would have been seriously effected. He even mentions about no other clubs go on like this (obviously highlighting Italian clubs). He's getting married in July so his personal life is good and that comes across again massively in the interview. I may be wrong, but I'm sure during his ban it was reported that he also had some issues in his relationship, so seeing the two (three with the dog) totally content was great to see also. Great to see a person come through a bad and potentially dangerous period (yes it was his own fault). We now have a player happy in his life, totally supported and as a result producing performances of an exceptional standard. Frightening thing is that he is still only 24 and his game will continue to develop. As mentioned above, the media stuff coming out daily is of an excellent standard, with frequent items and of a high standard. Players, you can tell enjoy being involved and it's like a different world compared to four years ago. Would still like to see more coming out from the owners, but that is not down to the media.

I'm not too fussed as long as it's decent. I've been around through the last four badges, so the change probably doesn't affect me as much as someone who is younger and has only known the current badge. This is no more than a tick mark exercise (imo), as the design will already be in draft I'm convinced. There maybe a couple of options to make it look more like a fan selection. I do think the timing stinks though, as it's not going to be on next season's kit, so why not wait until the season ends. Just causes a disruption amongst the fans before three massive games.

I presume they can't compete with the sky times. 1230 would have meant the game would have still been playing when the Forest game kicked off. -
At least Coventry have to go for it from the off, but their away form is not good. Mackems two opportunities on the break one through a shocker of a back pass. Mind I was saying at half time that all Coventry do is play or out wide and cross it. Worked once with the only decent cross into the box all game, but they just put it in with poor crossing time and time again, and it's been meat and drink to the mackem defence. Easy to defend when you know what's going to happen every single time. No play whatsoever through the midfield at anytime. If you're going to play that way all game the play Simm, who is a big physical player and would love to get one over these lot after the stick he took when he was up there. Lampard showing again he is not a manager of any level. Sheff United will beat either of these I would think, as they have a lot more going on forward areas. Mind though, either of these two so actually get promoted they be challenging for the lowest ever points total.
-
Coventry every time playing it to the wings and getting the cross in, which is playing right into the mackems hands. Play the ball through the middle when you have players with pace, mix it up more. Mind both teams are so poor, the quality of the championship is utter shit

Who the fuck goes to a Sunderland match unless we are playing? It's not the fucking 50s. Absolute shit show even if your ticket is for free. And I hope the cunts get absolutely crushed and are in the lower leagues for an eternity. There will be even more freebies for you to go to then.

The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Champions League

Luckily they are still playing for 8th place and conference league qualification (be first time for European football so a big achievement). Their form has also picked up a little, so I can see Villa dropping points. Villa's game against Man U is also after the final, so with it being their last game and at Old Trafford, I wouldn't expect many changes, especially if they are in danger of finishing 17th still. If Villa win all three, then we need to win two games. -
Pleased Bristol are getting knocked out (unless some miracle happens) as they have looked total shit every time I've seen them play live. Sheff United will be a lot harder to beat than Bristol, if the mackems do get through. I would have heavily fancied Coventry or Sunderland to win the final if Bristol had somehow got through.
-
One of a very few yes, I've been seeing derbies since the 70s and I'm quite happy for the cunts to spend the rest of eternity in the lower leagues
-
I see the faux outrage squad are banging their drums, because one of them mentioned about speaking to a Newcastle Councillor about the new possible stadium location. For one there has been virtually nothing coming out, so I don't believe for a second that a high ranking Councillor would just give some mackem confidential information, which would have NDAs in place on any agreement. I love seeing how broken they are now on any mention concerning our club, the sad cunts.

You're right, Villa's champions league chances will be probably dependent on the next two games. Win those two and they will be playing Tottenham and Man U teams with key players rested and thoughts on the Europa final (though it wouldn't probably matter anyway with their form this season). They probably need to win all four games to be even a worry for us, but, unfortunately both Fulham and Bournemouth's form has certainly dipped recently. Both need points though for their own European ambitions. -

It's up to us at the end of the day. We will know by the end of the Forest game, a much clearer picture on whether we are in a stronger position, no real change or if we are in a poorer position. A win would be massive though, as if we do, there maybe a possible opportunity that we can confirm qualification against Chelsea. None of the four teams this weekend has an easy game. -
He's one of many then who were desperate to believe it. A one second check told you that the fiddler was in jail when the profile was created. Totally desperate man creating a profile to try and hide the shame and then try and put it onto us. Mustn't of liked the blow up seagulls floating round the away end in the cup game
-
Last time one of the daft cunts created a Facebook profile for the one who fiddled the seagull, with with no posts and a NUFC cover and a couple of NUFC photo, which the sad cunts tried to latch onto to hide their shame. None of them checked that the profile was created when the bloke was actually in prison. Absolutely desperate

Absolute bullshit, for a start you don't make a journey to St James on the day of the takeover when you have no interest. So much so, that he was still drunk on a pre arranged tv interview the following morning.

I fancied Brentford to get something, as their only defeat in 8 away games has been us -
Potts also, Kelly came back, but, very rarely played and then disappeared again.
