Bit annoying that it’s probably going to require another 5 game winning streak back to back to get securely into the CL slots

He’s lost weight since I last saw him (Stoke away ~2011)

The annual confirmation statement is due on the 19th so looks like they’re just sorting the filing

FA cup 3rd round was delayed this year to avoid fixture congestion for PL teams at Christmas, as the winter break was scrapped this year

In some ways pleased it’s an injury. Some over the top reactions in here. The ability to ping in goals from LW has real value, just ask Miggy... The imbalance in the squad between LW and RW isn’t his fault, and whilst fixing RW is the priority I hope it will be done without weakening another area of the pitch.

Hoping for an Arsenal win, more games for them and keeps them alive in more competitions. Anything to wear them down physically and mentally take their eye la off the semi final. And put Man Utd back in the bin after their “heroic” (in media eyes) draw last week

Can’t be pre-planned surely, Joelinton and Bruno will both play 90mins next games so giving them 45 each keeps them fresh. Barnes won’t start next game. Tbh I think his first half he was trying too hard, like a player who was rusty and not settled, took shots on when maybe there were better options but I don’t feel he was at hookable levels. I’d have said a word from the manager would have been enough. It’s not great if the one decent option off the bench is in the managers bad books. We shall see but agree with those saying doesn’t look great.

The top of th page shows a PSR profit of £23m from last season.
-
Last season the club turned a profit of about £20m, if you remove the sales of Minteh and Anderson that’s probably a £10m or so loss. For that to become an £80m loss this season Kelly, Osula and the Greek must be on pretty big contracts!!! There aren’t any other new costs Whilst the CL revenue will is out, adidas is in so revenue is probably around the same. FWIW I think this month the issue will be player availability. In January you have to overpay and that will be kryptonite to the Board.

If I was a man city fan I’d want 10 against the bunch of ex Man Utd players ego trip, absolutely bury them

Was great back in the 90s, superb day out

Watching the Forest highlights they were very lucky not to concede at 1-0, and their second was criminal defending, Wood moves about two feet towards the near post at 2mph and loses all the defenders

He must have had a helluva Christmas

Does this rule also mean Southampton are bound to win their next game, given they’ve failed to win their last 10 or so and just got humped by Brentford? Or does the bad juju only affect Newcastle wins? Just before I head down the bookies.

In roulette if it comes up black 3 times in a row it has to be red next time…

I’d like a draw, just to keep Arsenal alive in the title race until the league cup semis are done
-
Arsenal are in worse shape physically, although I guess there’s a question whether they rotate. They’ve Man Utd next weekend so also comes down to where they put the league cup in their overall priorities and whether they reckon they still have a chance of the title. TBH their fixture list is brutal They played a second string in the quarters but then had to send it on Odegaard, Saka and Saliba to do a rescue job.

Murphy is having his Miggy in 22/23 season. The team is playing well, the fullback behind is in form and the striker is scoring for fun, and he’s taking full advantage - good for him - but he can’t produce something on his own the way Gordon can, he’s just not at that level. For Mbuemo agree the moment has probably gone, it would have had to be 2 years ago. I reckon the player would come but the fee will be too high.
-
It’s not totally inaccurate about Joelinton. His physicality is part of his game, and he is hot headed - something smarter opponents will take advantage of. However he’s not ‘dirty’ in the sense that he goes and commits professional fouls or does reducers on players to hurt them, he’s miles from a Keane type player.

I reckon Man City are best avoided for the next month, going to smash some teams up. Too late for the title. Hopefully they’ll cool off by mid Feb

Personally I love it when the opposing manager has a total meltdown after a win. Not sure whether I prefer the angry Ange meltdown or the beaten man Amorim one. It’s pizza or ice cream tbh
