Tbh I think his first half he was trying too hard, like a player who was rusty and not settled, took shots on when maybe there were better options but I don’t feel he was at hookable levels. Last season the club turned a profit of about £20m, if you remove the sales of Minteh and Anderson that’s probably a £10m or so loss. For that to become an £80m loss this season Kelly, Osula and the Greek must be on pretty big contracts!!! Arsenal are in worse shape physically, although I guess there’s a question whether they rotate. They’ve Man Utd next weekend so also comes down to where they put the league cup in their overall priorities and whether they reckon they still have a chance of the title. TBH their fixture list is brutal They played a second string in the quarters but then had to send it on Odegaard, Saka and Saliba to do a rescue job.

Murphy is having his Miggy in 22/23 season. The team is playing well, the fullback behind is in form and the striker is scoring for fun, and he’s taking full advantage - good for him - but he can’t produce something on his own the way Gordon can, he’s just not at that level. For Mbuemo agree the moment has probably gone, it would have had to be 2 years ago. I reckon the player would come but the fee will be too high.

It’s not totally inaccurate about Joelinton. His physicality is part of his game, and he is hot headed - something smarter opponents will take advantage of. However he’s not ‘dirty’ in the sense that he goes and commits professional fouls or does reducers on players to hurt them, he’s miles from a Keane type player.
