If he comes off the bench instead of Osula 10 times this season it’ll mean at least 3 more goals for the team. If it comes down to fine margins for CL qualification Wilson could be the difference in making it or not. Be useful to have if there’s a cup final too. Trying to get another season out of him looks a bit hopeful though

With Almiron a sale makes sense as a new RW will almost certainly join in the summer. But with Longstaff, selling means only having 5 midfielders on the books, that is totally insufficient if there’s European games next season, as all 5 would be needed pretty much every match. Longstaff is a good backup, home grown, loves the club and probably pretty cheap. Although I think the player probably needs the move as there’s now a cohort of fans always on his back, he might fancy a fresh start with more starting opportunities

Agne and Amorim are cooked in the league but the Europa is very winnable for either, if either go out of that they are toast. Cant see either getting near the FA cup as PL teams have the beating of them. Although Ange might not last long enough to find out.

3 years is an ambitious and likely unrealistic timeframe if they’ve not appointed architects yet. It will need planning permission and all that. I hope it’s great but not tooo great - don’t want them all going soft

The player will be on silly money, as he’ll have had them over a barrel and probably wasn’t desperately keen to be a third choice keeper. He will see out his 5 year deal, might get a couple of loans.

I’m not sure Howe has tried to hang onto players for too long in the past 2 windows, the main issue IMO is nobody wanted the players they tried to move on at the wages the players wanted. The club will be better sellers in 2 years as the squad is containing more and more players who are young and talented, vs old and declining

With Haaland he may lose his pace (but that is injury dependent) but he’d still be a big powerful striker with a good shot on him. He’s also massively dedicated, so more likely to work on his game as his mobility changes. It’s not likes he’s like Owen or Walcott where pace is his game.

Eddie has worked wonders with players who up to that point were abysmally coached. A load of players he inherited had been coached by Bruce, Gordon was at the career graveyard that is Everton. Elanga has a competent manager so it’ll be a lot more what you see is what you get.

Botman is a level above, he needs bringing back into the first team. Up to Howe to decide when he’s fit enough. It’s harsh but that’s the way it is. For me it’s for BDB except when playing an extremely physical team

In some ways pleased it’s an injury. Some over the top reactions in here. The ability to ping in goals from LW has real value, just ask Miggy... Can’t be pre-planned surely, Joelinton and Bruno will both play 90mins next games so giving them 45 each keeps them fresh. Barnes won’t start next game. Tbh I think his first half he was trying too hard, like a player who was rusty and not settled, took shots on when maybe there were better options but I don’t feel he was at hookable levels. I’d have said a word from the manager would have been enough. It’s not great if the one decent option off the bench is in the managers bad books. We shall see but agree with those saying doesn’t look great.
