  1. Is it just me, or do they kind of look like each other?
  2. They want 50m, so if an offer comes in at above 50m, they might consider it?
  3. We might have figured that from Leeds perspective it's still a great signing, even at a slightly higher price. Therefore they probably weren't going to give up despite there being just 1 year left. Although I never thought the club was as keen on selling him as many seem to believe. I'd expect Longstaff himself to be wanting the move, so I still think it's likely to happen.

    João Pedro

As long as Chelsea was in for him, there was no hope.
  5. It really depends on how much we would have left on the budget. We really need more depth in some positions. If we spend big on Trafford after getting Elanga for that price, we don't have much left for 2-3 players elsewhere, atleast if the budget that has been quoted is true. Even when you factor in the Longstaff money, which probably won't add that much to our budget.
  6. He'll be mint for Leeds, I'm sure of it. It's a good signing from their perspective. Probably good for all parties involved.
  7. That formation would work when both Tonali and Bruno are fit. I suppose we would rather play 4-3-3 when one of them are out. I don't think Joelinton is any good in a deeper role.
  8. Will Fernandez stay? Considering the fact that they bought Cunha and potensially Mbeumo..
  9. Yeah, I expect Man Utd to take up an a european spot in the coming season. Either Europa League or Conference League.
  10. It seems like I made my first assist on this forum just now. That's 1 assist in 3,8k posts for me.
  11. Lets look at Prem stats. Elanga has 1 g/a per 182 min. Hojlund 1 g/a per 246 min. In the last 2 seasons both Elanga and Murphy has more assists in total than Bruno Fernandes. That must mean that they are better playmakers.
  12. Must have some pull on the Italian market with Tonali already in here enjoying life. You'd think that atleast helps somewhat in terms of getting players to sign.
  13. His purple patch pretty much got us into the CL the first time. Lots of great players that season, but his goals in the first half of the season got us so many points.
  14. Inter has a net spend of -120m since that window, while Milan is at -20m. Just shows how biased fans can be.
  15. It's a bit strange considering our huge success with signing players from other leagues pre 2024. Bruno, Botman, Isak, and Tonali. 4 purples signed for a very good price. Technically Trippier aswell, but everyone knew he was mint.
  16. Sure, you can argue that he did well with limited playing time (which is correct), but playing time being limited doesn't make a signing more worth it (it's actually the other way around). Therefore when judging a signing it makes more sense to look at the contributions over a season rather than amount of minutes. I don't mean to slag off Barnes here, I've been one of those who defended the signing as decent when people didn't rate the signing (which is probably covers about 70% of his time here). Lets see what the opinions are like if he has a poor 2 month spell at the start of the next season.
  17. Forest did the genious but yet unpopular move of buying a Man Utd reject, and 2 years later he's worth multiple times more. Not the first time that happens.
  18. I agree. I remember in an interview he talked about how people wanted him gone in 2022. "Am I really that bad?" he thought. The next season he responded excellently by scoring 18 goals which got us into the CL. It's okay to want him out, and we should probably move him on now, but point is that players sometimes pick up on posts like that one.
  19. Poor Callum man. This is bullying.
  20. I bet Premier League will start looking into the rules now that a threat to their favourites did it.
  21. Pints for PSR, finally!
  22. Just over half a year ago I got stick for suggesting that many underrated the quality of our players. Was told "bar Isak we don't have players that can hurt opponents" etcetc. It was the explanation for poor results. Opinions change fast from one end to the other in football. I guess now all our players that has played a role are very good players.
