  1. Love him but I think if Bayern come in with £80m or so this summer to replace Kane, we'll take it and sign someone more suited to how Howe plays.
  2. Course he thinks they're alright. He was likely on £60k a week here and Bruce let him do what they wanted.
  3. Howe would have these top 3 within 3 seasons.
  4. Cabaye was £4m at a time when the average midfielder cost 2-3 times as much.

Estonia? Thinking Mart Poom (scored in the second tier).
  6. They're not all gonna lose their jobs!
  7. I remember Johnny Vaughan on Big Breakfast the next morning saying, "Nigel Martyn, how did you let that Ketsbaia?"
  8. They'd be where the likes of Milan and Juve are now without what they do. Obviously still mega clubs but not in the elite when it comes to lifting Champions League trophies.
  9. Was hoping Celtic would draw on Saturday and keep him in the job a few weeks. Shame.
  10. That'd probably be good for us. Man Utd will eventually get their act together the money they have. If it takes Villa down a bit then at least we get something out of it.
  11. Will never begrudge Man City fans enjoying their success. A lot of parallels between the clubs before the takeovers in the 2000s. You just hit your jackpot one takeover before us and when you could spend without consequence.
  12. 5 wins, 2 draws, 2 defeats the last 9 League games. Stumbling into a bit of form since those horrible back-to-back losses at West Ham & Brentford. Definitely something about a shoddy Brentford away result that brings about an upturn in form.
  13. Picking up some of the slack from our wingers since their numbers are poor in the league this season.
  14. Offside is correct but will keep repeating myself, the law is absolutely shite.
  15. I think he's key and been what we've missed all season. We'd be top 5 now if we'd had him since the start of the season.
  16. A lot of parallels between this season and the 03/04 one. Poor away form, home record just about keeping us in the mix, average teams competing in the top 8-10 (03/04 it was Fulham, Charlton & Villa, this season Sunderland & Brentford). Looks like a lower than average points tally will be needed to finish top 5 (we got there with 56 points in 03/04). Hopefully we scrape to the same outcome this year and make sure going forward we're better than this.
  17. Would love us to go for Bowen but has Spurs or Man Utd written all over him.
  18. Hearts 1-0 Livingston Similar to last time, early train up, few drinks on the Grass Market then an Uber towards Benson's Bar (similar to our Strawberry). Watched the Old Firm game then along to the Hearts game. First-half utter dominance, should have been 4 or 5. Second half Livingston had a spell and would have equalised but for a great save. Today's first time I believe Hearts can actually win the title, though. Dug in deep when it could have slipped away.
  19. We sold Maxi to enable us to replace him with Barnes and sign Livramento. It was a fantastic piece of business all round.
  20. £35-40m in this market has been excellent value. We don't get those early points on the board last season and CL football without him.
  21. Why does Barnes always get lumped into these lists?
  22. Unless you've watched them on Netflix I bet very few people have.
  23. I don't think they'll finish top 10, like. I don't think they have the ability to keep it up and teams will start to work them out. Still a brilliant season though.
  24. They're going to finish top 15 which is beyond what anyone would have imagined when they came up. Job done already.
