Klaus
What worries me, is that he will think that our starting 11 today was our best team, regardless of the opposition. But I am prepared to give him time, any win against an in-form Liverpool team is a very good result.
Skeletor
A decent performance today. However we still seem to have no motivation against the crappier teams in the league so that's where he really needs to fix things.

George Bailey
Fair play to him. Expected a serious arse raping today...bought him some time (and some of the players)...hope they use it. One swallow and all that though....

ponsaelius
I'm always happy for him when we win. I think he's actually sound. Just don't think he's any good whatsoever.

TRon
Came across so well post-match. Far more likeable than the others. Yeah that was his best interview by a mile so good on him. However I still think he'll struggle to get that amount of effort out of this lot week in week out.
George Bailey
I'm always happy for him when we win. I think he's actually sound. Just don't think he's any good whatsoever. Same. and again.... After the last two we had mind Himmler would have been more likeable.
Gallowgate Toon
I think de Jong was massive for him, today. Someone on the pitch, with a bit of gravitas, that marshalled our play. We actually pressed really well on occasion and I think that was largely down to having SdJ there.
Disco
Wish I had any confidence whatsoever in this being a turning point. We're on tele again next week know what you mean though. Absolutely infuriating.

Sima
. After the last two we had mind Himmler would have been more likeable. Nah, I'd much rather McClaren to Stifler.

Same, can see Spurs giving us a good pasting next week Well they won't put out a reserve side like Liverpool did today so yeah it will be hard. Tsunami
Happened again today, up against a top side on the TV and we put 100% effort (I don't credit McClaren for this), play against the bread and butter teams and we play at 80% to 90% and struggle. Disco
Will be able to tell a lot from what team they put out in the Waffa giving that they're through already.
toon25
Don't think today will do anything in terms of a turning point tbh. We'll lose next week and put in another uninspiring performance.
54
He may be questionable, but atleast he's fucking honest and tell's it how it is, and is seemingly a really nice guy, if this was Pardew he'd be full of praise for himself. http://www.skysports.com/football/newcastle-vs-liverpool/report/341331#ooid=wzd3VjeToFhtsWVYaItymfTkoIYnPV2D
samptime29
A decent performance today. However we still seem to have no motivation against the crappier teams in the league so that's where he really needs to fix things. A fair point.
STM
Happened again today, up against a top side on the TV and we put 100% effort (I don't credit McClaren for this), play against the bread and butter teams and we play at 80% to 90% and struggle. We've won 3 and 2 of them have been relegation rivals. We have no bias about who we are shit against. We've also lost on t.v against a few teams too. Arsenal and West Ham come to mind. Just a myth on both counts. We are just shite.
lovejoy
Pleased for him. Said before i think he's a thoroughly decent fella and he came across well post match today. Would love this to be a turning point, but don't think it will be. Let's see how we do against villa, Swansea, Everton etc, it's easy for the players to be pumped up against Chelsea and Liverpool. Pleased for him though, would love to think it'll carry on.
Shush
Steve's had a lot of stick and rightly so. When the line-ups were revealed today he was being laughed at by us all. He got it right today, everyone seemed to be working for each other and we defended and attacked much better. I hope this gives the players some confidence and belief to move forward. May as well keep it the same for Spurs, but would like to see Mitro and Perez always getting game time though. Wish the Villa game was next, as it would be good to get on a bit of a roll.
