Looks like it's not happening.

Not gonna happen this evening.  Reckon it will tomorrow though, he can't stay   The bigger question is who Ashley will find to come in.  Won't be  a Moyes/Rodgers/Benitez that we're hoping for....

We have been through this many times before with Pardew. The club aren't sacking him until the end of the season at the earliest, there is no way they would have put out that statement this morning about the players backing him to only sack him later that night or tomorrow.

The club denied they made the statement, by 'the players'. Was confirmed on Radio Newcastle.

Why not approach Rafa with a short-term pay-per-win sort of deal? Just offer a shitload of cash for every win, or a big bonus if he keeps us up. Not convinced Moyes would keep us up at all, but we're definitely going down with McClaren so you have to try something I suppose

Because Rafa wouldn't touch us with a barge pole because he only has a hard on for Liverpool when it comes to the PL. Moyes isn't exciting or exotic, but where we are right now, it's probably a higher calibre British manager than we could expect to attract. Moyes was Man U manager a couple of seasons ago ffs.

If they've made any kind of contact with another manager then he won't see out the weekend. I don't think they have mind, they thought they'd win today and feel vindicated for sticking with him.

I was more confident in Carver turning things around than I am McLaren right now, and when Carver was in charge I genuinely thought a baked potato could have done a better job. So basically, we're fucked!!

At the end of the day I think Charnley is just waiting for him to walk, like he did with Pardew. And its fucking ridiculous, how much does it cost to pay him off, 2million? Just chuck him out already.

What does he want instead of money?

Mirror alluding to the fact he's going no where

He's going to the Championship and he's taking us with him.

Never rated Moyes....need someone like Rafa to even stand a chance of staying up i.e. World class

"Hey Rafa... after managing a team to the Champions League and Real Madrid, do you fancy coming to be a coach at Newcastle and have all of the main footballing decisions made by a bloke who isn't even qualified to make a cup of tea?"

Not a hope in hell do we have of getting Rafa or even someone like Rogers

Even if (big massive fucking IF) SMC was sacked... It'll be some unknown who last managed a team 10 years ago, or an internal promotion until the end of the season.

I just saw an article where he said Colback was exempt of blame for today? What the fuck? It was his pathetic play that gave them the ball for the first goal.

Was never the right man and it's taken a season of nothing performances it to prove it to everyone.
