Guest firetotheworks
I don't feel sorry for him one bit. He's not an outright cunt like Pardew or Carver, certainly, but he's a complete and utter pansy who lacks the honour to do the decent thing and walk, as was the case with the England job. Pussies like that deserve the humiliation that invariably comes their way. Watch out fellow pussies, someone's door's getting knocked straight off its hinges tonight if he doesn't get sacked soon. Foluwashola
A pussy he's doing what 99% of managers would do. Hold no grudge against him personally like, he's just done a shit job and needs to go.
B-more Mag
It's amazing the way the club website keeps churning out pure shit as if nothing's amiss. http://i.imgur.com/jQlLwqt.png
BONTEMPI
This would be amazing, I have no Ill feeling of McClaren and would be happy for him to take over the academy but he is just not the right fit for us I wouldn't let him in change of the coffee machine. Need a clean break, just like what I had 15 mins ago.
bodson
I remember when the Hitzfeld speculation got nuts saying he was at the airport etc, then we ended up with Graeme Souness... So the Benitez rumours this time will probably mean we end up with Peter Reid as new manager...

Deuce
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/newcastle-sound-out-rafa-benitez-7518453 Benitez, who was axed from the Bernabeu in January, is keen on a return to the Premier League and has had contact from United. But no deal has been done and while Bentiez has yet to turn down the opportunity, he needs convincing about the powers he would have to reshape the club in the long run. Benitez is being considered but will demand guarantees and influence behind the scenes, as well as on the training ground, if he is to say yes, and he is not yet convinced. Any new boss is likely to be appointed until the end of the season, before talks about the future direction of the club once Newcastle know which division they are in. Benitez’ European reputation – he has also bossed Chelsea, Inter Napioli and Valencia - is considered a plus in motivating an international dressing room short on inspiration. We hire Benitez until the end of the season, he keeps us up and wants to stay, Ashley hires Pearson or some other shithead long-term instead.
SUPERTOON
If we were somehow able to get Benitez, he would be the best signing/ appointment in our history. It would also mean the whole clubs philosophy/ model would have changed for him to agree to it. Btw I don't think he would be completely against our transfer model to some degree. In my lifetime there has only been 2 appointments that have been historical in the clubs history. KK first time around and SBR. RB appointment would be up there with them. Hence why I don't think it will happen with these lot running us.
thomas
Infuriating that there's so much that's possible at this club yet it's 99999-to-1 against that they don't fuck up something this important.

mrmojorisin75
Benitez is the Spanish pardew, his football is shit I'd have agreed 5 years ago but having seen Pardew, Carver and now this cunt in action I couldn't disagree more.

I mean that at Real and Inter he never had final say, and I am aware using those two clubs in the same sentence as ours is a it silly, but the point still stands. The College Dropout
CraigHope_DM' Craig Hope @CraigHope_DM NUFC LATEST: Steve McClaren waiting to be sacked with Rafa Benitez at the top of club's shortlist to replace him. More to follow @MailSport As if Benitez is ever coming to nufc. Where do they get this, if he does he must be so desperate or Fatman has done a total u turn and offered silly money, either way it would have to be short term so he could get rid after he keeps us up, then look for another monkey who he can pay peanuts too. Why not? Keep us up and he's boosted his reputation massively. We go down and everyone knows it's not his fault, he'll leave in the summer win-win for someone like him This is not true - at all. A manager like Benitez is judged by the trophies he wins. League titles. Perhaps CL qualification and performance. He's not likely to get the Valencia job again because he keeps us up. It makes little difference. Unless he genuinely wants to manage NUFC there's no upside to giving it a go career wise.
Hughesy
One slight advantage regarding Benitez is that if he really wants to manage in England again, there aren't that many options open to him.
