Stal
I wonder what the general feeling is amongst Derby fans.
Nobody
Why the fuck have Derby re-hired him? They sacked him and he was terrible for us. It makes no sense at all
Superior Acuña
I thought his career was over in the top 2 divisions til he proved himself elsewhere. I guess I overestimate the quality/mediocre manager pool.
DJ_NUFC
Pretty much confirms the existence of an old boys club at the top level of the game.

Guest Howaythetoon
Failed to get promoted, gets sacked, joins NUFC, pretty much relegates us, gets sacked, gets another job at club where he failed and gets sacked. English football folks.

John P
At least they haven't given the job to a dirty foreigner though, eh?
Stal
Had a quick look at some of their forums (some are just terribly formatted, so very grateful for this forum) and it's really mixed. Some are dead against it, mainly due to the way he left and there's others who feel he will bring back flowing attacking football.

Paully
He's been a complete failure in his last five jobs! Unreal! I wonder if they were still paying him compensation for sacking him and that's been factored in?
Ritchie
Why the fuck have Derby re-hired him? They sacked him and he was terrible for us. It makes no sense at all He's probably on more money, too.
Big Geordie
Football can be very strange at times. Must be some old pals act going on there?
Foluwashola
Seems strange. Reckon he'll take them up next season, calling it now. Don't have anything against the bloke tbh. Have no doubt he tried his best, the job was just too much for the daft shite.
Guest
Can't get my head round why any Derby fan would be happy bringing McClaren back after he overseen one of the worst collapses I've seen from a team in the last few months of his last spell there. Not to mention his time here being a complete failure from start to finish as well.

M4
Seems strange. Reckon he'll take them up next season, calling it now. He'll take them up on their settlement offer of employment termination, aye.
Pilko
He'll be crap and back in the dole queue within 12 months, calling it now.
M4
Don't have anything against the bloke tbh. Have no doubt he tried his best, the job was just too much for the daft shite. Agree here though. Plus would do the whole McClaren experiment all over again if it meant getting Benitez in the end.
afar
Failed to get promoted, gets sacked, joins NUFC, pretty much relegates us, gets sacked, gets another job at club where he failed and gets sacked. English football folks. It's crazy isn't it. The only piece of logic I can find that makes any sense of this is, they seem to feel that us trying to tap him up cost them promotion, if were weren't after him they would have at very least made the playoffs that year, since they were beaten playoff finalist the previous year that would not have been a bad record. There maybe some truth in that, but to me, if I were them I wouldn't have touched him with a barge pole, that's not just based on the absolutely mess he made with us but he's going to have to win back a set of players (many of whom will still be there) that had clearly given up on him and a fan base that will be skeptical to say the least.
