sempuki
We can't keep losing every week. Go. Take it back. He's class.

Yorkie
Played it poorly tonight. There's no reason we needed an unlikely, last-ditch strike to get a point of that. Pretty lucky because he'd have been absolutely slaughtered had we lost that.
St1pe
I can see why he didn't make a sub at 2-2 we were all over them. A shot then took a double deflection straight to an oncoming Rooney and we're behind making him look like a right mug. I still think he'll get this right. Dokko
Remember when he was boro manager in the uefa cup and he'd throw on 3 subs at a time and turned a game on its head several legs in a row? Fuck me did he use up all his subs and balls in that spell?
Bimpy474
I quite like him and would like him to do well but he's not a good manager at this level.

Mick
He's called Man U "United" twice tonight, I would sack him for that if nothing else.
BONTEMPI
He's called Man U "United" twice tonight, I would sack him for that if nothing else. Hate that. He's got nowhere to hide now. Backed in the Summer and backed in January.

Altamullan
Just seems so slow to act, and reluctant to stick his neck out and make brave choices re substitutions and formation changes. Can't imagine he improves players' self-belief.
Foluwashola
Still hold out some faint hope that we might play some decent stuff with a couple of genuine footballers in the middle. Know it's basic stuff but it is always good to see us have Mbemba/Colo pick it up off the keeper and play it into the midfield.
Hanshithispantz
Aye, of everything I've said about McClaren I really do appreciate that he at least wants us to play football.
Kanj
His big test now is doing the right thing -- play Shelvey in his preferred position, continue to play Wijnaldum in the #10 role, DROP Colback for Anita/Saivet as the holding midfielder (assuming Tiote is sold), and Sissoko/Perez/Thauvin to play wings with Mitro up top. We went back to having a DM drop between our CB's tonight, now for me that creates one less pass forward but two sideways. I know it's about pushing your full backs up but one of those is Dummett who's useless going forward. At one stage we had both DM's between our split wide CB's, utterly ridiculous stuff at times. I'd rather see a CB bring it forward, just imo.
nufc4eva
Aye, of everything I've said about McClaren I really do appreciate that he at least wants us to play football. This. We have gradually got better, we are passing the ball and not as open as beginning of season
Gallowgate Toon
Showed some tactical flexibility with our general approach to the game, tbh, they've obviously been working on the possession side of it again and it's useful to have in your arsenal. I would've made a change or two much earlier, though. The bench wasn't great but we just needed some legs to push our momentum from the equaliser through. M1tche
We looked to have a game plan and have game by game been tweeking little things, which is good to see. On the downside though, how did he bring on Toney and Gouffran before De Jong?? His subs always seem really bad either wrong player or too late
lovejoy
Good performance and result for him tonight. He needs things to turn as he's been backed. Let's see.
Cheshire Mag
Good result for him and us tonight. Bringing on Toney before De Jong was a strange one though
Foluwashola
Toney was a strange one like, hoying a young lad in like that. Could have cost us the game losing the ball just outside the box. His options were very limited like.
RobS
my guess is the game was end to end at that point and thought Toney's speed and energy might of got us a lucky counterattack/breakaway. De Lung not gonna add much in that dept. I think.
joeyt
nice to see Marv on the bench, bet it's the last time though
BrettNUFC
His subs are really weird. His biggest negative imo They are always shite, bar Spurs. Thought that game was ideal for Marv at some point. Can see why he didn't fancy De Jong, was far too quick and he takes time to warm into a game. I never like him off the bench anyways. Don't mind him having confidence in Toney but it was like he wasn't sure what his actual role was or where he was playing. Just go on and run around a lot seemed to be the instruction.
