NG32
Give him the Bobby Concur role, a link between the fans and the new board/ owners. At least for period to help get the club back on its feet.
TheGuv
I hope he’s in the stands at the very least for our first game under new owners. A half time pitch appearance would be immense.
number9shirt
Kev is a legend no doubt, but anything other than an ambassadorial role would be crazy
TheGuv
Kev is a legend no doubt, but anything other than an ambassadorial role would be crazy That’s what I mean. Even just being able to sit in the stand without having to wear a disguise would be nice
Kanj
Would love to see this "disguise"

Keggy_Keagal
Kevin Keegan knows more about managing this club than anyone else in the country. I firmly believe he could still do a very good job here.
Raconteur
https://sport.optus.com.au/articles/os7297/danny-tiatto-interview Danny Tiatto tells the story of the time KK put him in a headlock and dragged him from an altercation with the Norwich bench - then threatens to kill Keegan before ducking the manager’s phone call. Tiatto comes across a right cunt, but that’s hardly news...

Guest
Even if his role is no more than ‘meet and greet’ with the hopefully new sponsors and corporates, being sat at every game near Staveley, it’ll be great just having him back at SJP.
bowlingcrofty
Imagine having Rafa and Keegan together to sell the clubs vision to potential signings.

Dr.Spaceman
Thank fuck this is just an ambassadorial role. Love the man, he was the first Newcastle manager I knew, but for obvious reasons I'd much rather we went for someone like Rafa or Allegri.
Cronky
Imagine having Rafa and Keegan together to sell the clubs vision to potential signings. Do you think Rafa would want Keegan around the place? I'm not convinced by the Keegan story. It sounds like the kind of thing that would get made up. If true, I think it would be a mistake to detract any attention from the manager, who will be trying to make his own history. And of course the minute anything goes slightly wrong, there's going to be a crazy section shouting for KK to take over.
Tiresias
Imagine having Rafa and Keegan together to sell the clubs vision to potential signings. 'So Rafa you asked me to sell the club to some centre backs and a defensive mid, that didn't work so I've got you 4 strikers'

Rafa has worked at a number of clubs were ex-players and managers are doing ambassadorial duties behind the scenes. It’s no big deal in fact it’s something that anyone should expect from any prestigious club

NG32
Kev in an ambassadorial role to help the new owners bed in and help with communication of ideas from the new owners. I'd imagine that Stavely will be swamped in the initial days and weeks of ownership. Kev knows how to speak with the fans directly and via interviews. He'll also help bring back some self respect to the club.
Guest chopey
Getting Keegan on board would be a master stroke (I'm sure he has some link with the Saudis from years ago) because he would need to be briefed first on the plans for the future and you can bet your bottom dollar he would only come back if he approved the project.
