Oh, I loved him, but I'm not saying too much in case someone again points out that he only scored two goals in his entire career, or something. Martins is unpredictable. Unpredictable, you say? Two words: Faustino. Asprilla. Personally think we should get him back to shoot people and potentially deal drugs to opposition players. IMO Oba Martins, Jimi Milner, Taylor and Enrique will be the players who will most benefit from KK. Especially Martins, as he's a confidence player. He would be a huge asset to us because he is a natural poacher, quick, decisive and direct. On top of that, if he is to force his way into Capello's team ahead of Owen, he will need to playing week in, week out. It isnt going to happen at Spurs and if he joined Villa or Portsmouth, because they are not high profile teams (even though they are both further up the table than us at the moment), he would not be in the limelight as much as he would be with a bigger team. If and it is a big if, KK works the magic, Defoe joined, Owen went to City, he might think it is just the best move of his life. I'm not a Martins critic, I actually agree that under Keegan we'll see a different player, but the view that his link up play isn't the best has some weight. Flip Posted January 18, 2008 Share Posted January 18, 2008 Tribalfootball talking about Deco and Elmander, would love to see Elmander, strong , quick and excellent player a much better version of Viduka, but Tolouse wants 26 million euros, and theres no chance in hell anyone would pay that. Maybe 10-12 million, i woudlnt like Deco hes getting old, but a season long loan might be good enough if we dont go for a player like van der Vaart or Diego.
