Guest shaun11177
Looking at Spain; Gudjohnson is an excellent shout and realistic- Poulson would be a very good defensive holding player but the 2 i like are Edu he plays upfront for Real Betis and is a tremendous header of the ball and Keita of Sevilla as a midfield box to box player looks a far better bet than Deco or Moutinho. Zigic looks just very tall!-not good enough-a Bolton Allardyce type of player.
LooneyToonArmy
some paper today mentioned Metzelder. He`s too injury prone for my liking but a top defender when fit If we could go for a German defender I would like to see Mertesacker but I doubt he`d leave Werder Bremen for us
Dokko
Gary Speed. Sure his contracts out at the end of the season and he only on loan at Sheff Utd, with a view to move, i'd bring him in as a coach no problem. Just got this feeling he's going to make a great coach/manager, and we could both help each other getting him to that point.
NG32
What about taking Patrick Viera from Inter.? Play him and Nicky Butt as the two holding midfielders.
KaKa
Actually, Keegan mentioned the holding midfielder position as an area of weakness along with left backin one of the articles today. We could do with a good younger prospect at DM. I know Veloso has been mentioned, but I think maybe we could do with someone with a bit more grit to their game. Tell you who I absolutely love and who is grossly underated, is Arsenal's Alexandre Song! Very good prospect and was dynamite at the African Nations Cup. Arsenal have so many CMs that he may never get a decent run and it would be worth enquiring for him. Very strong in the tackle but is composed and passes the ball around like you would expect from the Arsenal boys.
oldtype
Rafael Marquez not getting a game? I'd love to have him here. How old is he though?

He's put in a couple of very good cameos when I've seen him play. Lucas Biglia another option maybe?

Deco? I don't think any of these players wouldn't be let go by their clubs if we payed fair market price, and I don' think any would be particularly averse to coming to us if we could promise first team footie. All could do a great job.
Mowen
They would all be good oldtype, but nothing there particularly excites me. I've got a feeling we'll go for a few players of that standing and go for one or two 'unrealistic' signings.

SAK
Rather than Crouch or Zigic, maybe Diego Milito or Elmander? Highly doubt Milito would come here. Why not? Real Zaragoza are 18th out of 20 in La Liga and recently changed they're manager. If we offer an attractive transfer fee/salary why shouldn't we stand a chance? oldtype
Park? You just went for him 'cos you're Korean Best work ethic in the Prem. Can play any position in the midfield. Better than Lennon! (ducks for cover) honestly though, Park being a Korean is more of a minus than a plus for me because that means if he comes to us the s*** Korean media would be writing s*** stories about us 24/7. If you think your rags are s***... Even if Fergie really held us ransom, He'd probably cost less than Lennon would cost and would do a better job. I say why not. Dokko
I think Park was really kicking off before his injury. Don't really think he's needed at manu now, certainly better than Fletcher. Cheeky bid can't do any harm.

Dokko
I think he's shit. He's not world class but he's a tidy player. Get rid of Smith and bring him in, i'd pay the £4m manu paid for him no probs.

ElDiablo
I think Park is exactly the type of player we should be avoiding, a big 4 cast off who is made to look good by the players around him. No thanks.
Unbelievable
I think Park is exactly the type of player we should be avoiding, a big 4 cast off who is made to look good by the players around him. No thanks. Thing is, he was very good before he went there and he hasn't been bad whenever he's played for MU. A bit like SWP, he's too good a player to be on a bench. Not sure if he is what we need though, as he's more of a worker than a creative force in the midfield, which is what we need..
