Yorkie
Just wait until Shearer shows this lad a thing or 2 in training I've been thinking that.
Jayson
Wait until Shearer shows all of them a thing or to. Think about our youngsters even, Nile getting the chance to learn off Shearer. This is just Beautiful.
James
He better start learning though. Shearer the pundit has often criticised his attacking instinct.

Ronaldo
Oba and Xisco should benefit a hell of a lot from this. Given that they're both laced with ability crying out to be compounded with genuine intelligence

I think they would compliment each other brilliantly with a bit of influence from Shearer.
oldtype
He's either lost interest in our club and can't be bothered anymore, or he's suffering from a deadly case of "not-the-same-player-he-used-to-be-itis" that seems to go around these parts. Either way, he's lost form at the absolute worst fucking time possible.

Either way, he's lost form at the absolute worst fucking time possible. Nah, he basically has one month period over a season where everything he touches turns to gold. Rest of the season he is very average, relies completely on pot luck, doesn't play to his strengths, and doesn't score enough goals. August was his month this season. Taylor Swift
He's a luxury player, not one you can rely on to score goals or be in the right positions. So who in our team do you think is more reliable in terms of scoring goals then?
oldtype
He's a luxury player, not one you can rely on to score goals or be in the right positions. He's the exact opposite of a "luxury" player. He's a player who'll probably get you around the same amount of goals regardless of the kind of service he's getting because he's capable of making himself chances out of nothing, but not capable of putting it away when he's given stuff on a plate. The lad is utterly and completely random. Randomness is not something you need in a relegation scrap.

Biggest myth going, most of his goals are normal goals that have been set up for him, he's actually a decent finisher but doesn't help himself by never being in the positions. And the complete lack of service renders him ineffective in the final 3rd 95% of the game, same with Owen, neither are willing to scrap and that is what we need. James
Martins is very limited as to where he can actually score or make an impact from. The ball has to land at his feet in an area on the left hand side of the pitch between about 35 yards and 10 yards out and not much wider than the penalty area. Anywhere else and hes useless 99% of the time, and it is a big ask to get the ball to Martins in the only area he can semi-effectively operate. Yorkie
Martins is out of shape and out of form like 90% of our squad. This thread's like a fucking yoyo. Average player my arse.

This is the Martins thread and he was shit today. So was Owen, happy? It seems like a contest because when the manager decides to make a sub, it's always Martins who comes off and many are wondering why it isn't someone who's out of form, putting in zero effort and shirks challenges like Owen? Martins wasn't good today but he's the best we've got, like it or not.
