Pilko
Actually I think most fans are probably thinking Remy > Gomis >> Bent.
Mole_Toonfan
remy all day Yep, i don't see why we can't get Gomis and Remy though. Obviously that is too much to ask for.
KDT
It's funny because Remy was born in Lyon.

Guest strongbow69
most would pick an alleged rapist on loan than a signing of gomis?
Hanshithispantz
Most would pick the better player capable of filling a role we desperately need filled I'd imagine.
Guest bimpy474
most would pick an alleged rapist on loan than a signing of gomis? Think it's more about their football ability than their rapist expertise.
Dokko
Personally think we need both. 50-50 as to who i favour.
Guest strongbow69
gomis in a 4,4,2 holding the ball up or remy on the left wing?

LFEE
Lee Ryder @lee_ryder 1m I might be wrong but if #nufc fans had to choose Gomis, Bent or Remy , most would pick the man from Lyon. Has he deleted this tweet now?...
toontownman
Remy, Gomis, Bent in that order. Don't think you would find too many fans that think different.

Guest strongbow69
Can anyone translate Ryder? Lee Ryder @lee_ryder 44s I used to be a safestyle man but since non Geordie boy Craig Doyle charmed my pants off on the TV I'm all about the everest #tripleglazedyum references windows a lot, likes licking them, you can see through one as easy as him and he,s that thick its hard to make a hole with a brick?, tbf if you stand in front of the fat fucker he keeps out rain and draughts
Theregulars
We're just posturing tbh. Perish the thought we'd be doing something constructive to actively strengthen the squad. Let's just posture and play the game out. Not a pop at you btw. As Dave pointed out earlier, when his investment is in peril we are able to pull of five signings inside a week. Yet, despite all the bravado in early summer, here we are again on the eve of the start of our Premiership campaign with not a first team signing in sight trying to be clever to get the best possible deal financially. At best it is incompetence, at worst it is gross negligence. My fear is it's the latter. It's a completely deliberate financial ploy by the chairman to make as much with as little as he possibly can; so you're wrong.
LRD
The transfer policy has only paid off once (when we finished 5th) and even then we were short of what we needed. It's faulty and needed to be changed ages ago. Ironically this playing hard ball policy would be much more effective if the squad was kept well stocked with quality in all areas instead of when we desperately need players. Clubs look at us and see Shola is right behind Cisse in the starting order. Naturally they will make the most out of it.
Disco
David Crossan @davidmcrossan L'Equipe reports according to #ol the breakdown in #gomis to #nufc talks was because #gomis refused to make an 'effort' on wage demands The report has #gomis having originally agreed 4-yr deal at #nufc on higher wages than current 300,000 euros per month at #ol L'Equipe has #ol claiming #nufc deterred by #gomis unwillingness to budge wage demands According to #gomis representative failure was #ol fault as club wanted 9 mill euros plus bonuses, #nufc offered 8 mill L'Equipe asks q time on whose side in #gomis case? Suggests player may be willing to sit on contract, leave for nothing next summer
AyeDubbleYoo
Seems like the whole thing is really mixed up and everyone just making counter claims. Hopefully can be eventually resolved - them selling him to us for a decent price seems to be the only result that works for everyone.
Guest Povic
Heard Lyon is blaming Gomis for not completing the move to us. Think he's wage demands was 70k but MA only wanted to give him 67k a week...?

Unless he's really happy to take his chances and run his contract right down.
