Do Man U really need Veloso?

I thought this too but they seem to be heavily linked with him despite having 2 top class DM - i dont think Hargreaves has impressed Fergie that much has had a few problems with timekeeping if i rememeber correctly, fergie hates that, think he could be a wildcard signing for someone in the Prem this summer.

Do man u really need anyone?

They need another striker definitely...and I'd think about replacing Van Der Saar if I was Fergie too.

1. Fergie has clarified that the Hargreave late story was nonsense.

2. Ben Foster is more than capable to replace VDS.

I think Man U needs a specialist right back who could also deputise in left back position.

They should bring Phil Neville back.

Isn't Foster rather injury prone?

And yeah I agree about them needing a right back (they can keep their scummy hands off Beye though :))

At least we seem to be solidly linked with a number of players who won't come cheap. This link seems to have at least some mileage in it, we know we've bid £20m for Modric and we know we're seriously looking at Gomis and/or Diane, neither of whom will cost peanuts. Bodes well and doesn't exactly provide much backing for some of the scaremongering the press have been doing.

Yeah, we'll spend big and then the press will claim that it was the pressure they brought to bear on Ashley that made him realise our deficeincies and dip his hands in his pockets.

This despite the fact that there was never a money crisis in the first place (As our early bid for Modric proves) and we always intended to spend big anyway - We were just being clever about it and not shouting out that there was £100m (Or whatever) in the kitty as it would immediately inflate all our targets prices by 50%.

The press are f#cking morons, the lot of them. But that's not news (Pun intended) to anyone.

Just one bad injury really, which has dragged on. Fozzie is amazing, much better than that flapping midget Lee.

Is the Turkish league still going on?

Think I can remember reading he lead them to the title or something.

Aye Galatasaray won the league by 6 pts from Fenerbahce.

Veloso will go to Man U i think - suprised Liverpool arent in for him especially as Barry seems difficult to obtian.

Reading  a few pre-Euro 2008 write ups & one said  Veloso lacked pace. Big Phil also said "Those players that are two or three kilos overweight with a fat arse and are worried about other things, like nightlife or the catwalk, could miss the bus … I'm watching games, I read interviews, I'm studying [the players] … that's a warning" that remark was aimed at Veloso. He did get picked in the squad though.

Isn't Turan a left winger?

He might play on the left but on the Youtube clip every pass and shot is hit with his right. It's like putting Miner on the left and calling him a left winger.

Is that right? That probably makes him more attainable for us, i for one really like him, pace isnt everything for a DM i think he'd be a brilliant signing to be honest, exactly what we need.

He makes beating players look easy.

He does, I agree. He has a touch of Gazza about him, of course Gacoigne's genius was football intelligence ( the only type he had) and top drawer end product. I don't know enough about Turan to know if he has those qualities.

after scouting the fella on youtube, he reminds of ginola, the close control, the way he goes past players but a distinct lack of goals on those clips.(though according to wiki he scores about 1 in 3 apps)

He reminds me of Georgi Kinkladze the way he glides past people, he seems to be able to change direction really quickly which leaves defenders stranded.
