TaylorJ_01
Ashington also have former reserves James Taylor, Marc Walton, Darren Lough and a couple other familiar looking names.
TaylorJ_01
Marc Walton is a massive slug now, jesus. http://www.newspostleader.co.uk/webimage/1.6304515.1386592824!/image/3306479811.jpg_gen/derivatives/articleImgDeriv_628px/3306479811.jpg

Matt
Brayson was quality in the Conference North when he was at Blyth and different to the others in that he'd carved out a decent full-time career in League 2 / Conference before heading north. For a lot of the former academy players, once they stop full-time training their strength and fitness drop, exposing pretty ordinary technical skills and they tumble through the divisions. Ste
I don't recognise half of these academy kids. Imagine that first day playing lower league after reserve and academy football for however many years.

TaylorJ_01
Why are they all so stupid, man if they applied themselves even a moderate amount they could have carved a decent career.

Chase
Why are they all so stupid, man if they applied themselves even a moderate amount they could have carved a decent career. I understand the financial incentive, but putting that aside I couldn't imagine devoting 10-15 years of my life to a career that I have no interest in if what has been said about Spear & Airey not being interested are true. Superior Acuña
Marc Walton. Kenton superstar. We used to have his England Under-somethings shirt by the reception. They were one of those big hard famillies. Always found it weird they had that up while there was no mention of Jamie Mole being Hearts' lone striker in the Champions League at AEK Athens (he's quit footy too now like). Fugazi
Weren't Marc Walton (and his fatha, possibly) involved in a massive fight at a Sunday League match? Remember reading that somewhere.

thomas
Weren't Marc Walton (and his fatha, possibly) involved in a massive fight at a Sunday League match? Remember reading that somewhere. Seem to remember a story pics to that effect on nufc.com a while back. Large crowd spilling onto the field from the sidelines and all. Was disappointed he never made it. Had Shearer's hairline at 16 And ripped the net off the goal with a shot in a youth tourney in Italy, at least I think it was him.
Dr.Spaceman
Not sure if he ever ended up at Blyth but wasn't Lewis Guy another one who was highly rated at reserve level and amounded to nothing? Played for Carlisle and is now sitting on Gateshead's bench. Probs won't be here next year. He's also now more of a wing forward than an out and out striker.
