Guest Heneage
The fact hes left Newcastle means that should he do anything remotely well, the commentator will utter the immortal "ALREADY JUSTIFYING HIS TRANSFER?!?!"
JH
Our club site have it as £12 million, the fee shouldn't be in doubt. http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10278~1378964,00.html But the papers have quoted different over the past few days, and .com are talking about add ons as well? Shit, who do we believe.

Yep, and if we lose tonight it'll obviously be because we're 'missing Milner already!!111'.
STM
How many times over the past week have you heard the phrase, "He's one of their best players"? Infuriating.
ashtoon85
On Foxtel in Australia when chatting about recent transfers: Simon Hill: "James Milner to Aston Villa for 12mil" mention about a couple of seasons ago and how he nearly went to Villa Spencer Prior: "Well, it's a lot of money and Keegan sanctioned it" Simon Hill: "NO, NO HE DIDN'T. He didn't sanction it..." Ignorant rubbish.

Guest batfink0
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/article1626834.ece We're furious apparently! quote Milner, 22, became Villa’s record signing because he felt Newcastle were trying to keep him on the cheap. He insists he had no option but to hand in a transfer request after the club refused to renegotiate his £15,000-a-week deal. That article say's he was only on £15,000-a-week i thought he was on at least double that.

Only guy on Soccer Saturday I can think of that isn't a biased cock. yeh i know. It was him who also steered the conversation onto the more positive subject of Jonas, im sure the panel of 'experts' would have been happy to ramble on about the milner situation; best player gone, KK clueless, dickheads. Stelling can be a voice for us sometimes.

Elric
I was all for the sale at that price, but a small part of me is petrified that Villa will turn him into the next Ashley Young. I don't think even MON can grant Milner a decent turn of pace (or the ability to cross into the box).

One of their coaches, John Robertson I think, is supposed to be excellent at coaching wingers and is partly responsible for Ashley Young's development as a player. This is very true, and Robertson himself was never a speed merchant but he became a crucial cog in Cloughie's Forest team that won the European Cup - do NOT underestimate what MON and Robertson could do to improve Milner's game - I would be willing to have a bet that he will be a full England player within 3 years..
