VDV is incredibly over rated because he’s fast.

Agreed, but he is still incredibly good despite being over rated.

Shows the standard of the CL has dropped if this team are able to qualify in the top 8

True, but they had the easiest set of fixtures it's possible to get. Three of the eight teams they played finished in the bottom four. I think only two either qualified or made the play-offs.

Would have "bigger" suitors I imagine.

Also bit of a Miley clone. Might stunt Miley's development and unsure what Gray's best position is. I know like Miley he's supposed to be a midfielder originally.

He's never been given a chance in the middle and ended up playing most of his time at Leeds at full back too but aye, he's supposed to be a centre mid. He is a good player like.

Have watched this more than I care to admit.

Wut-oh!

The Croatian interim head coach, who agreed a deal on February 13 to lead the team until the end of the season, has failed to raise levels among his injury-hit squad, with Thursday’s home defeat by Crystal Palace alarming for the club’s hierarchy.

Those who saw it unfold said that the criticism was not sweary and was all the more stinging for that reason.

Is he incredibly good?

There was a funny clip going around a few weeks back from a Spurs fan on a podcast.  He pointed out that his passing is super basic and he’s always doing last ditch defending and not making it (hence the Isak leg break).  Watched him yesterday and that’s exactly how he played.

Their owners have spent years trying to fuck us and the rest of the league - so fuck them.  The funniest part of them going down is the laughable notion that the cunts thought they didn’t deserve to even be relegated from a European Super League, never mind the English top flight.  I’ve nothing more against their support than any other club I don’t care about, but their owners can get to fuck.

I don't disagree but the owners aren't the same as the fans, we're also not exactly best placed to criticise other club's owners are we.

Bar Man U, Liverpool and Chelsea I don't really care about other clubs doing poorly beyond how it serves our needs. Even Sunderland don't bother me that much as I just find them mostly irrelevant.

I get the whole "Big 6 going" down justice angel, but I don't want us to go all Villa fans on this and getting overly gleeful. There is no historic rivalry, they just don't mean that much to us (or us them) for me to be that bothered.

Villa were OTT in being the ones to do it when we went down, but the whole league had a good laugh and who could blame them. Take it as a complement, noone bats an eye when most clubs go down.

Agree. Normally I don't like to diminish the Premier and I prefer big clubs in there, so Wolves, Leeds etc belong there for me. But they are rivals and Levy is very cut throat, so for our own health I have to vote they go down. It still pisses me off today that they ended up winning a cup and getting CL football after that disaster of a season they had last time round.

Not sure it started that way, it's probably become the reason the term has been hung on to in recent years.

The origins of the 'big 4' in the 2000s then the 'big 6' in the 2010s was based on league position trends (which obviously affects revenue and vice versa):

So they've had the same amount of top four and top six finishes as we have but less top two so if anything a worse record.

Imagine what it would be like if we hadn't been sabotaged for 14years

The irony of him leaving Leeds because they got relegated, to play for a "big" club in the PL, only to get relegated with them while Leeds come back up and stay up would be pretty sensational like

Feel like we've had a few less?

3rd, 6th, 2nd, 2nd, 4th, 3rd, 5th, 5th, 4th, 5th

... is 10 for us (embarrassing I didn't need to google that

And Spurs probably had a few outside of 2010s. Agree though Ashley almost ruined us at a really bad time and we'd have thrived with even an owner who allowed us to spend our own money.

The DOGSO rule man. Revise it. Van De Ven should be a yellow only

Apparently it would have been only a yellow if it is deemed he had made a genuine attempt to play the ball whilst commiting the foul. As it was a deliberate act the red card was awarded as well as the penalty.

Yep, if he trips him it’s arguably a yellow but lazily grabbing the arm allows the ref to send him off. Awful defending

I suspect I agree with you, but in my opinion he is not incredibly good!

What even is the big six though? It's not the best six. Is it revenue? Would Villa even match Spurs' revenue if they went down?

It's the 6 richest clubs who've finished top 6 more often than not over the last 20 years tbf. Spurs have been in there 15/20 last seasons.
