Oakie Doke
He grows an inch every time I read an article about him, by Christmas he'll be standing waist deep in the Tyne like Godzilla, swatting Sky Sports helicopters out of the air. I noticed that too. I'm pretty sure he's 6'3.

Guest elbee909
Fuck England. They never do anything for us.
Guest GeordieAce
I wonder how many journo's at The Sun actually watched much of Carroll last season? No doubt the lad's got talent but a hat-trick against a piss poor villa team and a goal today does not equate to being called up for England. I do think he has the potential to get in the squad but he's not ready yet imo.

Agree he's got work to do though, an England call-up at this stage might cause his head to expand too much. Fuck England anyway, I want him playing for us and meaningless friendlies are just asking for trouble regarding injuries.

I disagree I think we need him to be arrogant. And I thought these were qualifying games.
Dave
Ah, didn't realise they were qualifiers. Anyway I still don't want him to come back injured; it would be just our luck that.
Lenny
Still remember that Man City game two seasons ago when everyone was bashing him, i was one of few who defended him and thought he'll come good, glad to see i was right for once That game was the only time I've seen Carroll play and thought he wasn't going anywhere. Totally different player now.
Guest neesy111
Fabio Capello and England can fuck right off after the summer they gave us.

Looks like Crouch is out, broken ribs or something, so it's looking likely even accounting for the madness that is Capello.
relámpago blanco
I know I'm jumping the gun but Carroll is class, I can't remember the last academy product with such promise, Taylor is about the best in recent history.
madras
i've a pint bet, made early last season that he gets an england call up this season. wish i'd upped the stakes tbh.
