bhoywhonder
Nope. Don't want him back..... like a damaged relationship, we've both moved on. Except we've moved on to a better future and he's living in a refuge.
Guest Spiria
It would be a bit like if Benny would come back to Marseille. Don't think it will bring something good.
Dokko
Everything we do is planned, whether this is a smokescreen or a genuine offer by the club, it's been thought out, discussed and decided it is what is best for us, and really bar one or two meh signings the last 3 seasons or so are littered with brilliant buys. If Pardew wants him and the board see it as a good move then really let's just go with it, they've hardly let us down in that area, a bit more trust is needed. Also if they turn around and say were not interested its all bollocks or the deal to bring him back wasn't favourable and he goes elsewhere, then fair enough they've done enough deals to know what is right for the club. Ketsbaia
I think we'll likely be back in for him. The wheels are starting to turn... We played long ball for a lot of last season. The reason our win at West Brom was so great was because we hadn't seen that type of play - it certainly wasn't the norm. We played gritty football until March and evolved by May. Being sensible now - and ignoring how funny it'd be - he'd be an awkward fit and I think we should stick to our successful project. It won't be a problem if we don't get him, this was just a bonus. The opportunists probably thought it was worth a go, without getting serious about it. However, I'm very curious about who's next on our list after De Jong, Carroll and Hoilett. Quite a fun Sunday night

Dave
Steve Brenner @SunSteveBrenner Newcastle definitely want Carroll. He's not back from hols until next week so will rumble. Steggy
Decent idea on loan tbh. See if he can take up where he left off, if he can, BAM! we'll have him for 5 mill, and the tossers of LFC will have been well and truly shafted. If he can't and he's still shite, no problem, he can fuck off back too LFC, and the tossers of LFC will still have been well and truly shafted. alpal78
Don't want him back, he represents the opposite of what we are trying to build both in terms of character and style of play. Yes he doesn't have Shola's rapist touch but technically he is far inferior than the likes of HBA, Cabaye, Cisse and Ba. Just let him lie in the grave he dug himself

ohmelads
It's possible we've put in a low bid knowing that the publicity will turn the player's head. He knows he's not wanted there. I think Rodgers made a mistake making it public knowledge he wants shot of him. I reckon we have pounced on that, knowing the player will put pressure on them. If he's an addition to Ba and Cisse and it's a loan deal, it does free up funds for elsewhere in the team. I do wonder how he will fit in with Cisse a guaranteed starter. I know what people are saying about the fixtures but if fit Cisse will start every game. We also seemed to play a 4-3-3 later in the season to good effect and Carroll wouldn't work in a wide role. So does he sit on the bench, a super sub who only starts in the cups? A more versatile forward could fight it out with Cisse but also adapt to the wide roles as Ba has. Ketsbaia
Dunno if these links have been posted yet: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/carroll-heading-home-as-liverpool-write-off-25m-7945406.html http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/newcastle-united/9402142/Newcastle-United-move-is-a-ploy-to-unsettle-Andy-Carroll-and-eventually-re-sign-him-for-only-12m.html Both seem to think it's a very likely deal, somewhere between £10m and £12m.
