New blow for Newcastle as fists fly at training

Two Newcastle United players were involved in an astonishing training ground punch-up as Joe Kinnear’s troubled reign as manager suffered a new blow.

The unsettled French midfielder, Charles N’Zogbia, and Gateshead-born striker Andy Carroll exchanged blows as a practice session boiled over and they had to be dragged apart by team-mates.

It is understood that N’Zogbia, 22, took exception to a late challenge by the 6ft 3in forward and fists flew until their fellow players intervened and the work-out was quickly abandoned.

N’Zogbia has admitted he wants to quit the Tyneside club and the fracas at Newcastle’s Darsley Park training ground will do little for morale at the club where relegation worries are mounting following a run of just four wins in 16 league games since Kinnear took over.

N'Zogbia should stop being a little bitch and take the tackle like a man.

Hard to say without seeing the tackle, isn't it?

Wasn't hard enough, I haven't seen it but it definitely wasn't hard enough.
