Wullie
Would have fancied those three free kicks that we wasted in the first half. Teams know they can foul us with impunity as long as they do it fairly centrally and outside the box at the moment.
Guest Heneage
Ryan Taylor isn't any better than Perch. Classic case of a player getting better when they're out of the team. Aye. Taylor has better delivery though, which could have helped in the first half today. Exactly. He's not better but his skillset would have been better suited. I'd say Taylor has more technique than Perch but Perch is clearly fitter than Taylor with better recovery pace to boot.
jdckelly
ain't much difference between perch and raylor, perch has better defensive qualitys than taylor but nowhere near as good going forward. the thing is with taylor that i think hes probably more a right sided midfielder than he is a full back
Yorkie
I'd say there's virtually no risk throwing him in against City. He's a fairly poor footballer on the whole but i really doubt he's any worse than Perch at this level.
Hanshithispantz
Thing is with Taylor is he'll grab quite a few assists and a couple of goals to boot, aswell as better link up play going forward. Taylor in the side for 'all the other things' he does with Jonas ahead of him to link up with in attack and defence. I think that partnership would be a lot more effective than the current Perch & Routlege partnership, which is our weakest part of the team in my opinion. Newcastle Fan
I really wanted to see him take one of those 3 freekicks in the first half, deserves a start tbh.
Lotus
Well i'd say the 1st job of a defender is to defend and he's not much good at that. If people are unhappy with Perch don't start expecting Raylor will be any better. Or Simpson for that matter.
Skirge
I agree that we need a RB who can defend,, Perch cannot he has proven that and is also shit at going forward.. at least Taylor would offer more in attack and from his set piece taking. Lesser of two evils.. Simpson well he is a blend of both really.. not great at attacking not great at defending but better than Perch.
Tachikoma
Whoever we play at RB next week, we should start Jonas on the right to provide a bit more defensive cover.
The Prophet
Perch is much better than Taylor defensively.
Begbie
Thought i never would say this, but we should start R.Taylor on the right side. He cant do that much worse than Perch can he?
Dokko
I'd put him in instead of Routledge.

Skeletor
Might as well play him instead of Routledge. We'd at least get some decent crosses for once.
Yorkie
We signed Routledge cos Taylor wasn't good enough, man... short memories. What we'd gain in a dead ball specialist (that is all Taylor has going for him), we'd lose in absolutely everything else. Routledge just needs a bollocking - he doesn't need dropping, he's not playing well at the moment but he's still the best option we have for right-wing. He's been dog s*** so far this season.

Yorkie
Ben Arfa's injured now, i'm speaking in the current context. I agree that he's looked out of his depth but i'd never, in a million years, get Taylor in ahead of him.

Guest BlacknWhiteArmy
I'd stick with Routledge against Wigan, but we have no other options now anyway.
Thespence
Was saying he will be of in a few weeks if not given a chance in league games.

I thought he was fairly poor against Chelsea, aside from the superbly executed FK. Besides, he was at full-back.
oldtype
I'm starting to fear that he'll come on and score an own goal against Wigan just to keep up his "always scores against Newcastle" streak. Can't rule it out with the way our luck's been so far.
