sempuki
What happened to that Callum Roberts that was getting some hype last season Scored twice for the reserves tonight thanks to two assists from Ivan Toney. Looked good from what I saw last season.
Kasper
Seems like we've got two Finnish youngsters on trial. Don't know the other but one is a pretty highly rated 16 year old Mauro Severino. Scored a hattrick for the U18 yesterday vs Blackpool.

Conjo
It's been done to death on here, but I have to say, Mauro Severino is an excellent footballer name. I know we have failed on this before, thinking "oh with that name he has to turn out good" (Zamblera, Spear, Vuckic, Ranger, Danquah etc), but let's hope this one is the real deal and is signed up! Ikon
Not as unknown but i remember how excited i was about Lualua. Also how he came on when we were under against Derby in a very important game. Iirc we were trying to reach one of the CL spots and then we turned it around and won.

He's apparently here for the 2nd time. Scored a hattrick in March vs Liverpooll. Also visited Brighton and Chelsea then. Agent says he's training with the reserves later in the week and that we're interested and that they'll hear more next week if it leads to anything. Oh and that he's waiting for a Finnish passport. Can't move before he gets that.

BillClinton
Nice to see that we are getting lots of players out, even the ones I've never heard of. Maybe we are doing something right for once.

Disco
Knocked out the Youth Cup to AFC Wimbledon A giant-killing this may have been, but there was no shock in an embarrassing reverse that raises questions over our mentality and preparation - in addition to the lack of playing style and cohesion echoed at U21 and senior level. Thoroughly rotten from top to bottom. Anyone attending in the hope that they'd see any reason for future optimism will have been massively disappointed, but this was anything but a fluke result. There are undoubtedly talented youngsters on our books club, but absolutely zero evidence of any development or progression, calling into question exactly why we bother with an Academy at all. Apparently most of their players come from Sunday football.
thenige
This is just as worrying as what's going on with the first team. Our U18 and U21 teams have been bloody awful this season. The U21s are 10th (out of 12) in the Premier League Division Two, whilst the U18s are 9th (again out of 12) in the North Prem. What happened the idea of bringing players through for the future of the club? Sure they'll come out and say they're like Ajax and Barca, where they're concentrating more on playing the 'right way' than getting results. Which if it was actually the case would be fair enough. Sadly I doubt that somehow.
John P
A few updates from the first half came up on my Twitter feed when I was scrolling through last night, sounded like we were getting a right pasting.
