A through-ball sliced the defence apart far too easily, with Lynch able to shrug off the only covering defender, Nzuzi, and getting in a shot from 12 yards. Alnwick blocked that with his right leg but the ball fell straight to Noble, who could barely miss with a virtual open goal. He once again chose to celebrate in front of the away end where Ryan Taylor curled home that majestic free-kick in the Barclays Premier League back in August. The way their fans celebrated each goal was something to behold, you'd think they'd won the Premier League the way they were going on.
