Heed
Strange move, don't Hartlepool have one of the best keepers in league 2?

Hopefully a new manager can rescue players like him and Bigi.

Still haven't seen the squad details for it mind, it's not on .co.uk or .com Squad: Alnwick, Woolston, Williams, Ferguson, Streete, Satka, McKinnon, Gillesphey, Sterry, Olley, Bigirimana, Liam Smith, Barlaser, Gilliead, Roberts, Vuckic. Very young looking squad that which probably means a much changed line up at Palace.

thenige
Streete header from six yards out after an in swinging corner. 1-0. Started well so far, Vuckic looking sharp and Barlaser went really close with a dipping volley.
thenige
Arsenal go close with a free kick from Crowley, moments earlier he was booked with Streete after a bit of pushing and shoving.
thenige
Ferguson with a beautiful curling free kick pushed just round the post. Our set pieces have actually been quite inventive so far.
gdm
Top of league as it stands
thenige
1-0 half time. Well in control at the start, if anything dropped off after the goal. Quite an open game so far, Bigi's disappointed though, some poor decisions and wayward passes. Streete has looked composed, Barlaser lively for the first 20 but very one-footed. thenige
Half time sub, 16 Gilliead for 4 Williams. Arsenal go close with a deflected shot early and win a couple of corners. Their striker Hinds looks isolated.
thenige
Looping cross from Gilliead which Roberts brings down, cuts inside and shoots just wide on the bounce.
thenige
Ferguson inswinging corner, almost a carbon copy of the first as Streete rises highest to head in unchallenged. 2-0.
thenige
Gilliead with another dangerous cross to the far post, Roberts heads wildly over when completely unmarked.
thenige
Gilliead with an impressive run down the right, cut back to Vuckic who slides it left to Barlaser who has a good opportunity but places it just wide. At the other end ball whipped across the six yard box but Arsenal not high enough up the pitch to take advantage.
thenige
Zelalem forces Alnwick into a sharp save low to his left with a shot drilled from the edge of the area. Resulting corner well cleared by Streete who has dominated in the air tonight.
thenige
O-Ottiwell scores one back with a left-footed strike into the bottom corner. Vuckic then wastes a good chance at the other end, heading weakly at the keeper.

thenige
2-1 final score. Streete probably man of the match, not just for his goals. Bigi still struggled, off his feet way too much really even if he did win a few crunching challenges.
BillClinton
Jonathyn Quinn on loan at Blyth. Not sure how you go from making the first team bench during preseason to going on loan at Blyth. (He's probably shit but it just highlights how bad our development "strategy" is)
Matt
Jonathyn Quinn on loan at Blyth. Not sure how you go from making the first team bench during preseason to going on loan at Blyth. (He's probably shit but it just highlights how bad our development "strategy" is) Means he can train as per usual with the Academy squad and not have to travel, while getting experience of a few more competitive games. Harsh reality is that there are so few pro clubs within the area and limits on loans per club mean there's not much option for farming out players if you still want them to train FT (or close to it).
