Flip
How the f****** hell does Lucho Gonzales and Cambiasso miss out on this squad? That is crazy. Argentina has probably the best attackers in the world cup, but wow, they will leak at the back.
CaliMag
Without any hyperbole or exagerration, Argentina's manager is insane so you can hardly expect his squad choice to be a rational one. If Argentina accomplish anything this world cup it will be in spite of Maradona.

Mental choice. Veron bosses the Argentine league and is very much a proud Argentine i.e very much what Maradona likes. Seems strange that Lucho has missed when you consider Juan Mercier and others have very little big game/international experience.
Thespence
Tbf Argentina have played better since La Brujita has came back into the fold has to be Diego best call by far. Will it work at the W/C who knows but to date imo it has proved to be a good thing.
Stifler
I'm glad, their is less of a chance of getting injured, now if only Jonas can have a falling out with Maradonna before the World Cup.

Guest
Looking at Google News in Spanish the Argentinian press look like they're getting a bit frustrated that Maradona is the last of the major national managers to name his 30. http://www.infobae.com/futbol/515754-101275-0-Maradona-juega-al-misterio-Argentina-es-la-unica-seleccion-top-ten-que-aun-no-dio-su-lista http://noticiaaldia.com/2010/05/argentina-y-el-mundo-en-suspenso-maradona-lleva-dos-horas-reunido-para-decidir-lista-de-convocados/

TaylorJ_01
I'm assuming it'll be announced on the hour so checking every hour. Maradona will make a point of announcing it at a weird time, like 22:47.
Guest
<EDIT> FFS man. Found this http://www.losandes.com.ar/notas/2010/5/11/un-489170.asp which has a headline of "Ariel Garcé is the surprise inclusion to Maradona's list of 30", then at the bottom has "probable squad to be announced in the next few minutes..." Nobody
Love how we've got two players in the same national squad that also includes the likes of Tevez and Messi
Guest je85
From Twitter: @GrantWahl: FIFA has Argentina roster, says @VarskyMundial, who adds Maradona must be dying of laughter making ARG journos sweat. #MakesDomenechLookSane

Village Idiot
I finally was able to get into the Argentine FA website, who's been down all the afternoon, and I can confirm that's the list. http://www.afa.org.ar/
Village Idiot
Again, Cambiasso not being in the squad is hardly a surprise, mental decision or not. Maradona has never liked him and has been quite open about that.
Guest Heneage
I just imagine Colo sat reading this thread, going nuts.
Guest je85
Wow, so no Zanetti, Cambiasso, Gago, Riquelme, Lisandro López, Lucho González, Maxi Rodríguez or G Milito but Coloccini and Jonas in. Maradonna's a crazy bastard.
