It probably means another season wasted but it's for the best. If the spineless fat cunt's looking to cut and run he wouldn't have backed the manager anyway.

Disasterous timing again by Ashley. While I will be delighted to see the back of him, to undertake a sales process now will hurt our preparations for next season greatly.  While other championship sides are getting geared up, sorting out playing staff, we won't have a manager and won't have a team in place for potentially weeks.

The price may get him interested again..

Maybe you should change your avatar to a pic of him again, I'm sure that will only sweeten the deal.

We're in deep shit if we are managerless for long in the close season and up for sale without a buyer. As far as I can see we'll be lucky to stay in the Championship with that degree of turmoil and morale at such a low ebb. Add to that, the lack of ability and players deserting a sinking ship in their droves together with more and more deeper unrest from the fans.......

,.

Bleak unless there is someone ready to buy around now. Ashley is a complete fucking cunt.

August 7th:

"Some bloke called Mike has just texted me - his manager has walked out and he wants me in on a 6-week basis ONLY, just till he sells his football club."

The conpiracy theory rears it's head again. Big bet with say Levy. Mike says I'll take over the toon, drink with the fans, appoint a washed up casino manager as chairman then get them relegated. Levy says 100 mill you fucking don't.

My own pet theory (which is most likely wrong, I admit) has always been that Mike Ashley's plan from the beginning was to turn Newcastle into a profit-making enterprise modelled after Spurs, due to a bet with Levy. The dialogue went like this:

DL: "Only Spurs fans are thick enough to accept the same nonsense every fucking year: We buy some exciting foreign prospect for good money to create some buzz and make those idiots think we're going to challenge for fourth, then sell our best players at a massive profit after the season ticket sale is over. Then, when it doesn't work out, we sack our 'long term' manager and get in a new one. Always new optimism, and nothing ever happens. The only really profitable club in the country, and safe mid-table mediocrity."

MA: "Nah, I bet that could work everywhere. Football fans are all idiots, and so are the chairmen at every football club. I bet I can make any club as successful as Spurs. Even Newcastle!"

DL: "I bet a million quid against."

MA: "It's a bet. I also bet a million quid I can down a pint of lager in less than five seconds."

DL: "That's how you made your fortune, wasn't it?"

Newcastle United could be sold within a month and at least two parties have already expressed their interest in buying the club, according to Sky Sports News.

i'm sure we've waltzed this waltz before.

We did and we didn't score highly off the judges.

Mike Ashley decided to axe Strictly Due Diligence from the schedules.

Sorry to run this Sky story again but its the highlighted bit that caught my eye that makes it more interesting

Newcastle United could be sold within a month and at least two parties have already expressed their interest in buying the club, according to Sky Sports News.

Sky Sports News' chief news reporter Bryan Swanson understands no bids have yet been made after Mike Ashley put the club up for sale following their relegation to the Championship.

Ashley is believed to want in the region of £100m and Swanson has been told there is every expectation a deal will be concluded 'quickly' after a 'high level of interest'.

[glow=red,2,300]It's understood the two parties who have expressed an interest did not approach the club when it was initially put up for sale in September last year.[/glow]

Leading London investment bank Seymour Pierce, who have been commissioned to sell the club, have yet to comment on the latest takeover talks.

Maybe a non story but it Could be a sugar daddy or Fat Fred and his posse  :undecided:

if any sale takes over 2 weeks then i think we are in big trouble,  we are already having one of the shortest pre seasons ever,  plans for next season should already be in place.  We have an owner wanting out and no manager and the players report back in 4 weeks.

If they weren't interested back in September, why not?

Do they not have enough cash to match Ashley's earlier valuation?

Are they just looking for a cheap club?

Have they only recently found the funds?

How will a sale to another owner affect the loan we have to pay back to Ashley?

that will be the small print he'll try to hide......just like was done to him.

He only had to look at the accounts that anyone can download, which were even more detailed when we were a plc. Staggering that he didn't even ask the question.
