Not you toonlass. Just the fact people are that desperate they will cling on to something wrote by the bandwith thiefs over at nufcblog.

Aye I know tooj. Its ripping my heart out that Ashley is killing our club, I feel like I am desperate to know what is going on, and when people are saying "oh so and so says this at Iamalyingtwat.com" they don't realise that people who love Newcastle just want an end to all this shit and will go and look to see, just to get an end to it all.

I'd have thought Shearer pulling out would be a bad rather than good thing? Almost as if they're not wanting to get the fans hopes up.

 How much longer can this go on? We are at the mercy of a corpulent lying scumbag (who bought us for a quick profit) who has no plan, no heart and no balls. Today's charity match will be an opportunity to remember happier times, amid all this carnage. I hope people keep that in mind and don't spoil Sir Bobby's day. Wave the flags, spin the scarves and chant the chants...but keep the anger in check. Trust me, there will be other days to bring it out. SO63!

Until Ashley has sold everything that isn’t screwed down, or February in other words.

If there's going to be protests, keep it for the Leeds match.

Agreed, by boycotting the game. An empty stadium would say more than any amount of chanting and banners.

United’s overdraft fear for prospective buyers

Jul 26 2009 by Neil Farrington, Sunday Sun

THE cost of Newcastle’s search for a buyer is mounting – with the club’s overdraft understood to top £40m.

And that figure could rise further later this week, when United pay a £5-6m player wage bill.

The size of Newcastle’s working overdraft will be of obvious concern to would-be buyers.

It is at least one extra liability to be budgeted for, and a headache set to be made worse by a crippling combination of Premier League player wages and drastically reduced revenue in the Championship.

What remains unclear is how much of the interest-free loans made to the club by owner Mike Ashley would need to be repaid by his successors.

Other complicating factors in any deal include former manager Kevin Keegan’s outstanding constructive dismissal claim, a demand from former deputy chairman Douglas Hall for £1m and the estimated £20,000 a week being paid to Dennis Wise under the terms of his departure from his director of football post.

Meanwhile, the BBC will wait at least another week before asking Alan Shearer if he wants to resume his Match of the Day role for the start of the season.

Having been aware from when they first employed him of Shearer’s desire to one day manage Newcastle, the BBC have put no pressure on him to map out his future during a frustrating summer spent waiting for the call to take the United job full-time. Shearer would like senior players like Habib Beye to stay on if he is appointed manager, but the defender could be poised to depart this week, as he is prepared to discuss a move to Hull City.

The debts are old news, most people are aware of the real cost of buying the club, the bottom line has always been whether Ashley is going to be prepared to sell at the best price offered or if he'll decide to remain a clueless fat blimp.

Well Llambias is a lying cunt then and Orville being away shouldn't make any difference in selling the club. I'm sure someone else will be there to negotiate.

Quote from Ronnie.

Newcastle United receive bids of £100m for club

Jul 6 2009 by Lee Ryder, Evening Chronicle

DEREK LLAMBIAS has revealed that  “more than two bids at £100m” have been received for crisis club Newcastle United.

The Toon managing director was spotted showing a Malaysian consortium around St James’s Park and the United training HQ last Thursday.

But he remained tight-tipped on the identity of the bidders, with Newcastle and the clutch of interested parties wary of the non-disclosure agreements they signed since the club went up for sale.

With the first-team squad now in Dublin at a boot camp, the club contacted the Chronicle today to say that the sale was still “ongoing”, with investment bankers Seymour Pierce in charge of finding a new owner for the Magpies.

The Malaysians were mooted to have discussed a bid in excess of £80m in addition to tackling the overdraft at United, thought to be £34m.

But Llambias has insisted that the price was never going to be less than £100m.

And he told the Chronicle today: “There have been more than two bids at £100m.

“At the moment we are in the hands of lawyers and it is all ongoing.

“We are giving interested parties all  the help that they need.”
