I haven't made my mind up about Henderson. I've seen flashes of quality from him, but he was still in the 'promising' category at Sunderland, and he was chucked in at the deep end at Liverpool. This tournament has come too soon for him, but generally it's too early to judge him.

I'll say one thing for the lad - despite his struggles, his head hasn't gone down, from what I've seen. He's kept going, trying to get involved. He's got the determination to be a success in the long run.

Disagree completely. His problem is that his head ALWAYS goes down. He just completely bottles games and hides from them altogether.

Our team is going to be absolutely guff for the first two games without Rooney. Mine would be

                          Hart

Johnson    Cahill      Lescott        Cole

                  Parker

                                      Milner

Walcott                                                  Young

                          Gerrard

                            Defoe

Carroll or Defoe, what a crap choice.

Let's see if we can come up with a better England squad comprised of players with fewer than 10 caps and who aren't currently on the Euro roster without any senior caps.

Youth can actually be influential in these kind of tournaments, the wildcards if you will but it's plain to see that Henderson is neither a good wild card nor a legitimately good/influential player.

Why replace an attacking midfielder who would be used as an impact player off the bench... with Jordan Henderson. Why not just replace him with someone like Adam Johnson who can make an impact. Especially as every other winger we have could play in a more central role if needed. Total shite.

This tournament is nothing but a learning exercise now for England, who may as well start thinking about the gameplan leading to 2014

The squad does scream setting up for the future. Just a shame Barry and Lampard got injured.
