Ok.

An Englishman who isn't capped for another nation.

Me.

But I've got a shoulder injury.

Let your Country down, Colin.

Saving myself for the big one this weekend.

Club before country.  :snod:

We don't have an alternative to Rooney, but he's having big problems. They might be physical, after aggravating that ankle injury last season, but they look more psychological. He's been carrying the Man U and England teams for the last few years, and on top of his personal problems, it all looks a bit too much for him. A player who has never looked fearless now seems very half-hearted in what he's doing.

I feel sad and frustrated because he's the sort of player that can lift a side to the level of title contenders. Whether he needs a physiotherapist or a psychotherapist, he needs to face up to his problems.

One day a manager will come along and pick the best England team, not just the names everyone wants, and will succeed in the face of adversity from the press/fans and be called a legend.  Until someone has the balls to do that England will continue to flounder.

The only thing worse than the sight of SWP on the right wing is the sight of SWP on the left wing. Terrible footballer. Him and Barry should be nowhere near the England lineup, and Rooney should currently be nowhere near a football pitch.

To think City paid nearly forty million for those two.

Am I right in saying nearly £90m for SWP, Barry, Lescott and Milner?

Rooney has completely lost it. He shouldn't be playing Sunday league football atm.

I didn't feel annoyed watching Rooney tonight; I felt a bit sad really. Such a great player (he had been playing great) has recently cut a miserable figure and doesn't look physically or mentally fit to play football at the moment. I hope he sorts himself out.

could do with a broken hand or something that would keep him out for a few months but wouldn't threaten his career.

It would have to be his left then. We can do without him losing the use of his wanking hand and ending up with yet more tabloid stories about his adventures in brothels.
