Guest DebuchyAndTheBeast
over £10 M for a keeper is always a good price and we may even get a good replacement for half or a quarter of that value. However the Spurs match showed us the difference in having a good keeper (e.g Friedel) and great keepers (Lloris, Krul). It's these small details that add up at the end of the season and determine whether a team makes it to the Cl or not and is relegated or stays up. They were interviewing an ex Pro the other week (can't for the life of me remember his name) and he was saying having a top class Keeper can be worth an extra 12-15 points over the course of a season. Personally I think goalkeepers are undervalued in the transfer market. If the Mackems had westwood in goal last season instead of Mignolet they would be playing in the Championship now. Tiresias
I think seeing Krul play for another team would be especially painful, love the guy more than most
Weezertron
It would be hard to watch but I reckon I could be happy for him too (providing he went to a nice team). He's just too good of a guy to have any bad feelings for.
Tiresias
Well depends on the team, but it's sad to say I could understand wanting to leave to a team with ambition run well. If he went to sit on the bench for £££ it would be a different story

Especially not in the Mirror right now what with Trinity Mirror = NCJ. Perhaps a wee tad bitter in their slant of all things NUFC at present ? Dokko
£25m to juve wouldn't be so bad. Buy Forster back for a fraction of that.
Unbelievable
I'm fairly confident Tim Krul will finish his career at this club. Seems to have caught the bug.

AyeDubbleYoo
Kind of helps SD News out a bit if The Mag just reprint every story they post. That said, they're basically right.

What, that they're basically right in their conclusion that 'Mike Ashley blatantly uses his own sports news company to push the sale of his players'? You actually agree with that? AyeDubbleYoo
Well they're right that the articles shouldn't be appearing on the website of a company so closely related to NUFC. We'll need some time to pass to see whether any of the stuff is actually related to reality. Hopefully it isn't.

What, that they're basically right in their conclusion that 'Mike Ashley blatantly uses his own sports news company to push the sale of his players'? You actually agree with that? If he influences SD News in the way he does NUFC, I would say it's a fair conclusion. This is the guy who, whilst racking up a billion big ones and running one of the 100 biggest organisations in the UK, still finds the time to be offended by the local press mentioning a nothing demo.
