Toon No9
He has plateaued and regressed because there is no incentive for him to improve. You'd think there would be, like. The Dutch no.1 spot is very much there for the taking. He's never gonna be the Dutch no.1 keeper. Time to let him go imo. We need a calm and confident keeper who can boss the defence and his area. He has been a good shotstopper at times but is very inconcistent.
Dokko
He's not been the same since his last big injury.
Toon No9
At times he can be one of the best keepers in the league. But if he conceds a goal he gets so shaky and it spreads to the whole team and we often end up losing (again). He really can't keep his cool when it really matters. triggs
He has plateaued and regressed because there is no incentive for him to improve. There should be. He should be trying to impress bigger clubs and getting into the national team but instead is happy to play with a shit team getting worse himself all the time
Guest Pedro_de_geordieo
There was a time when LVG went to ManU I thought Krul would sign for them but since our collapse there's no way
mrmojorisin75
We need a manager to come in and restore a bit of belief and galvanise things. Then a lot of these discussions will cease to be necessary tbh. It's alright blithely saying he should do this, he should do that, but he's been at the club a decade and is now part of an organisation that actually aims for mediocrity. He's probably just given up waiting for a chance to move. Don't blame him either.
Guest TCD23
Actually think he's been absolutley dire this season. In fact the last match I remember thinking he was great in was the Tottenham match where we won but can't even remember when that was like two years ago? Thing is all great keepers have competition that nears their level and drives them on (Given with Harper as an example) but all Krul has is Elliot! No incentive for him to try at all. Figures 1-0 Football
I get the feeling the Darlow signing was in anticipation of him leaving this summer. He's looked like he couldn't give a toss throughout the season, no where near the same player as he was a few years ago and no other reasonable explanation. Sima
What kind of shit replacement would we get with £8m? Oh, we have Darlow. GWWA.
sempuki
What kind of s*** replacement would we get with £8m? Oh, we have Darlow. GWWA. £8m for Krul, £15m for Sissoko and £10m for Cisse and Tiote would make up our "war chest". Two years left on his contract and might be flogged imo. It works both ways, any keeper would struggle with our defence. Wanderer Coloccini must be a nightmare to play behind.
Mick
I hope and think we'll keep Krul, he's a good keeper who has gone stale at the club and I would rather we didn't have to play an untried Darlow or Blob Elliot. I hope that McClaren can give a few of our underperforming players a lift although I do have my doubts.
Wallace
I think if they get Eric Steele in that might well persuade Krul to stay at least another season. Surely he would welcome the opportunity to be coached by him (didn't he also coach Van de Sar?).

Wallace
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/crystal-palace-plot-tim-krul-5961163 The key could be Newcastle goalkeeping coach Andy Woodman, who has turned Krul into one of the most admired stoppers in Europe. Really? He may have been before Woodman started coaching him. ;D
