Chrisjraby
Cousin: Interested in Newcastle move Skysports.com understands Hull City striker Daniel Cousin would welcome a move to Newcastle. A loan move to Newcastle has been mooted with Tigers boss Phil Brown claiming the Championship leaders have made an enquiry for the former Rangers hit-man. The Gabon international has slipped down the pecking order at the KC Stadium this season following a number of summer arrivals. Brown is thought to be open to the idea of loaning out Cousin and the player is believed to be interested in a switch to Newcastle. Newcastle are in the market for striking reinforcements and bringing in Cousin could help boost their chances of winning promotion back to the Premier League. Cousin's agent, Willie McKay admits his client would be interested in a move to Newcastle, but is unsure of what Hull want to do with the player. "We do not know what is going on with Daniel's position at Hull at the moment," McKay told skysports.com. "We have heard Newcastle could be interested in signing Daniel on loan and that is something he would seriously consider. "He would be interested in a move to Newcastle as they are a massive club and if he is not getting regular first-team football at Hull he might have to move to get that." http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_5561241,00.html
durhamunigeordie
Would love to see Kamara here, think he is the best of the bunch at this level. Would also be keen to see Harewood join him if possible. Would take both of them over the Hull pair, if only because I don't want us to be loaning players from Phil Brown. Slightly OT but has anyone else thought that this must be one of few situations where a player could potentially go out on loan to play in front of a crowd twices as big?! (Disregarding situations were big clubs sign players on-loan where a permanent transfer is already agreed but the transfer windown gets in the way)
Ritchie
Kamara and Cort should be our top targets, I reckon. Both have plenty of expierence in this league while others such as Cousin, Harewood, Vokes, etc. have little.

Guest Phil K
It's all very well bringing in players, but they have to be able to do a job. Cousin I haven't a clue about.

Segun Oluwaniyi
Cousin would be great in the Championship. Honestly, he'd look alright in the Premiership or Ligue 1 too. He's decent.
Yorkie
Cousin, Kamara and Cort and i'm happy enough. Kamara can do a job on the wing too, as far as i know?
Guest Phil K
It's all very well bringing in players, but they have to be able to do a job. We need players (GOD, we need more players) yes, yes, and yes again. But we need players who can fit right in to do the job. Or at the very least, be capable of filling a gap from suspensions etc But the danger there is to blindly dive in for anyone. Forgive me3 if I've took your "Dowie" the wrong way though. He can play wide, but I wouldn't want him here. He relegated us last season.

Segun Oluwaniyi
Diomansy Kamara relegated us last year? K. He is the reason we lost our last home match.
Yorkie
We are the reason we lost our last home match. Every single footballer who scored or played against us was merely a minor contributer in what was entirely a home-made self destructioon from start to finish. I don't hold any grudges against anyone from the outside tbh. Except Phil Brown, cos he's a twat.
Ketsbaia
Gareth Barry, Damien Duff, Abdoulaye Faye, Titus Bramble, Howard Webb, Oba Martins and in fact the whole NUFC squad relegated us too....
Segun Oluwaniyi
Yeah I know, he's not the main reason. I understand this. I'm just saying that he scored a goal that played a huge part in us going down. I'm not foolish enough to think it was actually his fault only. Just a bad memory I'd like to erase tbh. lovejoy
Hardwood and kamara would be class signings IMO. Chuck in a centre half and left back, and we'll take some stopping this season IMO
Cajun
Wasn't kadar pushing Enrique close for a first team spot before his injury last season? Surely he will do the job as back up left back.
toontownman
Hardwood and kamara would be class signings IMO. Chuck in a centre half and left back, and we'll take some stopping this season IMO I think Cousin and Kamara would be too similar, Harewould be an upgrade on Carroll at present. We need someone capable of roughing up defenders and winning/holding up the ball. Should be signing Michael Ball on a one year tbh, would be sound back up. Andrade could be worth a shot on a pay as you pay too, might well be finished after numerous knee injuries though.
