Newcastle v Bristol City- Pre-match thread

Why would anyone want to play Harewood & Loven up front? If we did that Harewood would be flicking on & doing the donkey for Loven better to go with Carroll & Harewood.

Tend to agree with this, and Dave tbh

Fair enough, but in that case why bother bringing him in?

No fee, low on numbers & already knows the club. If they really wanted him they would of signed him earlier in the summer it was a panic signing. Remember the last time our club painicked they got Nolan & R.Taylor

Hughton picks the strikers on performances & he's not given Lovenkrands a chance to give one. So its unlikely he'll be upfront any time soon. His best bet is if Carroll has a shocker & Hughton gives him a chance over Ranger. Must be frustrating for him to have fallen in the pecking order based on nothing.

Jonas will play s**** in a position that's anywhere remotely narrow.

I just read that he would 'boss centre midfield' on his thread :iamatwat:

Jonas will play shite in a position that's anywhere remotely narrow.

This. He should play wide in a 442 and nowhere else.

IMO we are walking a tightrope playing 3 narrow like yesterday. We already have limited creativity without removing wingers.

He'd be our Gerrard, easily

Assuming you weren't firing at me with the whoosh gun, give me a definition of what 'our Gerrard' would entail.

Presumably never kicking a ball very hard but looking quite dashing?
