Yorkie
Just had an email from englandfans explaining the application process and I came across this absolute gem... "The FAs ticket allocation has been set at 12% of the Stadiums saleable capacity for our group stage matches and 8% for subsequent knock-out matches." That is utter bollocks. ... what? So - for every game, we get 12% of the respective seats in that stadium, whilst the other team gets 88%? I imagine the other team would also get a similar amount. As for the other 76%... Reserved for FIFA and local fans, I assume. Still a bit too much. I'm absolutely astonished at that. Is it always like that for the international tournaments? Yorkie
Really? So, say we play at Newlands - which is like 40k - there'll be like 4000 of our fans there? Surely not. I mean, i can remember from the other tournaments, great seas of orange or yellow, depending on who's playing obviously. Proper hit me as this. I had a bit of a pipe dream of actually going to the World Cup this coming year, if only for one game. Don't suppose i'll bother now, this'll no doubt inflate prices ten-fold. Thorpinho
The obvious answers for the winner are the usual big teams. I will be putting my money on an African team though. Its between Ghana, Nigeria and Ivory Coast depending on which groups they get drawn in.

Guest Roger Kint
Are the seedings made yet? Seen someone post the lowest one but haven't seen the other pots 2nd Dec i think. Its virtually sure though with S Africa, England, Spain, France, Brazil, Italy, Argies & Germany in 1 The eight remaining Euro teams in 2 Africa/S America remaining in 3 South Korea, Japan, Australia, North Korea, Mexico, USA, Honduras, New Zealandin
Yorkie
Some nasty scenarios then. Could get like Netherlands, Cameroon and Japan or summat - that'd be unlucky.
ElDiablo
Mexico, Portugal and Chile would be the group of death for us. I think an African team would suit our style a bit more.
Yorkie
I hope we get Portugal in the group like - having noticed they're in Pot 2. Were bound to draw with them and that's not as pivotal with it being non-knockout.

Village Idiot
If I'm still living in the USA in the summer, I'd love a Spain - USA game to be honest. We should have figured the yanks out already after two games...
Mike
I'll be furious if we get Spain. They'll fuck our goal difference beyond repair, I think. Looking at the pots, there's probably going to be one ridiculous group, and one vacation group.
