Super Duper Branko Strupar
I don't think I'd take an FA cup over Shearer... Think. It's not just him being here for 10 years but it's the club that him being here created, and maintained. Yeah we won fuck all and we went through shitty periods, but fuck me that spirit in the fanbase him being here created was brilliant, man. Shearer leading us in the Champions League and being England's leading man was a really proud time. Then him and Bobby together, man. Commanding. I'd take the 95-96 title and Les staying here longer over Shearer joining, I think that would have just been spectacular. But yeah, those 10 years not just with him, but as a club, were brilliant. I still don't think his legacy is done here, mind. I think when Ashley finally goes, at some point he'll be back in some part.

I think he's got all the attributes of a good manager (those who say he took us down, we've been down under Rafa too). There's no way he'd come and manage under the FCB, but if/when the fat cunt fucks off, I feel that Shearer could be our next Keegan.
M4
Nah, can't see him ever managing the club again. My guess is that he's made his peace with that also. Maybe the youngsters at some point, but certainly not first team or close. Given how outspoken he is about Ashley he would quite certainly get some form of embassador role under a new regime. Would seem like a quick win for anyone coming in.

Probably because the club he'd want to manage is owned by a total cunt, and instead of fucking himself over failing under that twat, he is happy making easy money on MoTD. I mean all he has to do is be less shit that that jug eared tosspot Lineker, which he does easily.

Kanj
He should be in a boardroom level and never coaching at this point. Guest Howaythetoon
Shearer has been on record at various talk-ins saying he enjoys his life too much to ever become a manager, but has said that under the right conditions and circumstances, heād never turn NUFC down if offered the chance to manage us again. KK has said the same even after his ordeal with Ashley. I canāt se it myself and donāt think heās cut out for it. The whole experience under Ashley has scarred him badly. For what itās worth I donāt blame him even the tiniest bit for our relegation, nor Rafa either, both times when the took over it was inevitable and nothing they could have done in the time they had was ever going to be enough to prevent that. I thought had he stayed on, had some backing and brought in the right people around him, he would have done a good job for us though and showed himself to be capable enough as a manager. I much prefer him as a pundit and as a personality these days, he is usually spot on and his thing with Ian Wright is fucking great, they need a show together because their chemistry is great and they are both funny and natural together. Iām paraphrasing, but in the build-up to France ā98 World Soccer did a big feature interviewing stars of those teams who qualified and Ronaldo was asked which striker he most admired and could learn something from and he picked out Shearer as the complete centre-forward and his ability in the air and shooting from distance as something he can get better at. Maldini was also once asked which centre-forward he feared the most and he picked out Shearer also saying he was a complete centre-forward and someone who he would need help to stop because he wasnāt easy to stop on his own. Shearer was asked which defender he feared the most and he said no-body, but heād rather not play against the Italians and Argentinianās who of course knocked England out. Heās since said Adams was the toughest defender heās faced. The striker he most admired? This may surprise people, but he chose Bierhoff of Germany at that time. I wish I still had all those old mags, books, programmes, pinks, Chronicles and pull outs from the 90s. I gave them away a few years back. I used to love World Soccer, by far the best football mag out at that time. Those who didnāt get to see peak Shearer or at all, we literally signed a striker who today would have no equal IMO and back then was the most-complete CF in the world if not the most talented which was obviously Ronaldo and a few others too. I rate Harry Kane and heās a decent footballer and underrated as one for me, but Shearer was a level above in his prime. We were robbed of that after his injury, but he came back, changed his game, and was still as good as any at scoring goals and playing the role of the centre-forward. The best weāve ever had and likely ever will. His legacy, however, will always have some young Geordie kid wanting to emulate his achievements and that is one of the reasons why I wouldnāt swap say winning the FA Cup in ā98 or ā99 for Shearer and what he did in our shirt. Itās thanks to players like him whose feats inspire kids in a way that silverware never can. Kids who if good enough will give a generation of fans and our club a Shearer of their own one day. If such a player can win the club silverware doing so, thatās the icing on top of the cake, if not, Iād rather have 10 years of a Shearer than 10 years of a Shola. I just think back to what mattered to me most as a kid, what it was that drew me in and what it was that made me fall in love with my club and the game, and it was the players and what they did on the pitch. Not 3 points, finishing top or staying up or Wembley Finals, those things were important to the club, the manager, the team and history books, but for me personally, they come second to an Andy Cole or a Kevin Keegan.
